1 Timothy 5 & 6 – A gray head is a crown of glory. Every gray strand is earned. 2017
RVTA1 Tim 5:1 Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, 1 Tim 5:2 the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity. Once again, Paul is teaching Torah. Lev. 19:32 ‘You shall rise up before the grayheaded, and honor the aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the LORD. Prov. 16:31 A gray head is a crown of glory; It is found in the way of righteousness. Prov 20:29 The glory of young men is their strength, And the honor of old men is their gray hair.16 views -
1 Timothy 2, 3&4 – Paul is not saying we should pray for everyone. Many misconceptions exposed. 2017
RVTA1 Tim 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 1 Tim 2:2 for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is one (of many) of Paul's passages that are classically misinterpreted. It is taught that Paul is saying that we should pray for everyone and for kings and for all in authority. That is not what Paul is saying. First of all, Paul is saying that prayers be made on behalf of all men. When Paul says "all men," he is speaking of all of "His People. He wants all of "His people" to pray for kings and all in authority that they are allowed to lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. We are to pray that kings and all in authority do not be a hindrance for Elohim's people to lead a godly life with dignity. Psalm 72:1-2 Give the king Thy judgments, O God, And Thy righteousness to the king’s son. 2May he judge Thy people with righteousness, And Thine afflicted with justice. 1 Tim 2:3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 1 Tim 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is another passage that is classically misinterpreted. If Elohim desired all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of Truth (Torah), then they all would. It is as simple as that. Paul is saying for all of His people to pray that kings and those in authority to allow His people to lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity because Elohim desires all of His people to be saved and come to the knowledge of Torah. Kings and those in authority can hinder His people on this mission. Once again, "all men" does not mean "EVERYONE." He means all of "His people". Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,17 views 1 comment -
1 Timothy 1 - the Greek term "faith" should be "faithfulness."
RVTA1 Tim 1:14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. Once again, the Greek term "faith" should be "faithfulness." Faithfulness and love are in Messiah Yeshua.23 views
