Land of the Lost is a classic American children's adventure science-fiction television series created by David Gerrold (uncredited) and produced by Sid and Marty Krofft. Trapped in this "land," the family must learn to survive in a world populated by dinosaurs (including a Tyrannosaurus rex they nickname "Grumpy"), primitive primate-like humanoids called Pakuni (one of whom, Cha-Ka, they befriend), and aggressive, hissing lizard-creatures known as Sleestak. The family takes shelter in a cave and the episodes focus on their efforts to survive, explore the enigmatic world, and find a way back to their own dimension, occasionally aided by an Altrusian castaway named Enik Rick Marshall (Seasons 1 and 2): Played by Spencer Milligan.
