Eight of the heart containers are found in the dungeons after the boss battles, and 5 are hidden on the Overworld map. Two of the secret Heart Containers can be found on the south-east area once you have Bombs. The third is found near the first dungeon's lake by using the candle. The last two are found after dungeon 4 when you have the raft and ladder. They are located on the far east edge of the map. Collecting these hearts early are key to equiping the Blue and Master sword as soon as possible. Boss Battle Guides ------------------------------------------------ Dungeon #1: Kill Aquamentus at a distance using the flying sword at full health. Otherwise attack from above while dodging the fireballs. Dungeon #2: Dodongos dislike smoke. Feed bombs to the Dodongo by placing them in front of his path. He will feed himself to death. Dungeon #3: Manhandla is easily killed with a bomb to the middle, or hack and slash until you kill him. Dungeon #4: Gleeok is vulnerable from the sides at it shoots fireballs at you. Dodge them while using the Blue Sword to decapitate it. Dungeon #5: Digdogger dislikes sound. Use the Recorder to break it apart, then kill the smaller pieces with the sword. Dungeon #6: Gohma is vulnerable to arrows only. Shoot him in the eye when he opens it. Dungeons #7: Aquamentus is easier the second time with the Master Sword and arrows. Two arrows can kill him now. Dungeon #8: Gleeok with more heads. Kill all the heads with the Master Sword. Dungeon #9: Ganon randomly jumps across the room while shooting fireballs. Swing your sword towards the middle of the screen to hit him eventually. Once he turns Red, shoot him with the Blue Arrows. Legend of Zelda (NES) OverWorld Dungeon 1 Complete Walkthrough Guide: The Eagle & Aquamentus

Located the middle of the map, this dungeon gets it name from the "Eagle" shape with the Aquamentus guarding the first Triforce piece at the head of the Eagle. Enter the dungeon and go both left and right, clearing both rooms to collect keys. Go up 2 room and kill all the skeleton in both rooms for the Rupees and hopefully bombs. Go left then up while ignoring the bats and gels. Collect the map in the next room and then go up 2 rooms, collecting keys in both. Go left and enter the stairs to collect the Bow. Return right and down to the room where the map was. Go right and clear the room to collect the Wooden Boomerang. Continue right and collect the key. Go up to face Aquamentus. It is easily killed at full health with the flying sword, or attacked from above. Know at "The Moon" based on it's shape, this snake-filled dungeon takes sword skills to kill the monsters and collect the Blue Boomerang. Bombs are necessary to feed and kill the Dodongo guarding the 2nd Triforce piece. Enter the dungeon and go right to claim a key from the snakes. Go up 3 rooms and kill more snakes to get another key. Go right and clear the fire room to collect the Blue Boomerang. Return left and then keep going up killing monsters in each room. The Dodongo is the top room require Bombs to be defeated. Place them in front of him and he will eat them at his peril. Legend of Zelda (NES) OverWorld Dungeon 3 Complete Walkthrough Guide: The Manji & Manhandla
BrightGamingWatch BrightGaming complete the 3rd Dungeon in the Overworld of the original Legend of Zelda on NES Nintendo. This dungeon is easily cleared with the Blue Sword, Boomerang, and Bombs. A Big Blue Manhandla awaits you at the end, guarding the third Triforce piece. Enter the dungeon and go left and up, collecting keys in both rooms. Go up and left two rooms then kill all the red guards to open the door below. Dodge all the monster to enter the stairs to collect the Raft. Exit, return up, then go right two rooms. Bomb the right wall and go right 2 screens. Clear all the enemies and equip your Bombs to fight the Manhandla in the room above. Kill him to collect the third Triforce piece1 view
