While they aren't part of traditional Reiki, The Meridians that can be found in Traditional Chinese Medicine would make a great addition to your practice. They are also commonly used in Acupuncture and Acupressure which can aid in the healing process. Here we go over the history of Reiki, from the founder Mikao Usui, to Dr. Hayashi who plays a pivotal role in the progress and development of Reiki and then Mrs. Takata who is responsible for bringing Reiki to the United States and spreading it throughout the West. I also give you a logic breakdown as to the possible reason why that Mrs. Takata may have felt the need to change some of the elements of Reiki. Due to some of the Japanese traditions and language barrier it took some time before some of this information was cleared up, but eventually we found out more information. This video ended up being a little longer than I hoped but it it I give an overview of the 7 Chakra system that is the foundation of a lot of energy healing as well as the corresponding auric layers to each chakra. It shows what happens when the chakras are in balance as well as out of balance. In order to heal these imbalances there are steps you can take to do on your own, for persistent issues or as a treat to yourself you can visit an energy worker of your choice. Don't worry, sometimes just taking time for yourself and treating things on multiple levels will allow also allow for healing of the chakras and aura on a physical, mental and emotional level.
