Roxy Music - Band

Taken from the 1974 album "Country Life", this is the song "Out Of The Blue", performed on the TV Show "The Midnight Special" in 1975. They sang three songs on the show - the others were "The Thrill Of It All" and "A Really Good Time". I think this track was the only one of the three to make it onto a DVD - which is why I suspect that - although sung live on the show - the sound was slightly cleaned up afterwards. No Brian Eno by this time, but a wonderful replacement on keyboards, synths and Electric Violin was Eddie Jobson. And of course the late great John Wetton on bass, who unfortunately the cameras seem to have almost missed here. Anyway, a super line up - probably my favourite of all of the band. And a brilliant song.
