Jan 4, 2026 - "Pray and I Will Answer" - Dan. 9:1-3
CCalvary Chapel of the CanyonsGod desires to answer our prayers! He is a God who hears! As we start this New Year we want to dedicate it to the Lord through Prayer. We need the Lord and the needs we have in our life are "blessed needs" for without them I doubt we would seek the Lord. Prayer is the breath of the soul, without it we will turn blue. There is always something inside of us that works against our prayer life. we must fight against it. God loves to hear from you. May we devote our lives to prayer as we start this new year. -
Dec 28, 2025 - "Prayer & Fasting for the New Year - Pt. 1"
CCalvary Chapel of the CanyonsFasting is mentioned over 60 times in the Bible. We don't like to do it much because we live in a very self-indulgent culture and we're not used to going without food for very long. Fasting can be uncomfortable. Fasting is restricting food so that we might seek the Lord, pray , and study the Bible for spiritual reasons. Fasting without prayer to the Lord is just another good health practice. when we combine seeking God's will for our lives with Fasting there sometimes can be great results of God's blessings! -
Dec. 21, 2025 - "Hope in Disappointment"
CCalvary Chapel of the CanyonsLife is a series of 'ups & downs', 'highs and lows', but, "this too shall pass". Hopelessness is a difficult burden to bear. In the Fist Christmas we see a series of high hopes & dashed hopes. There was a cycle of lows and highs. our hopes can often be dashed. What then? Is it all lost? What do we do? as Christians we have the God of hope looking after us. he brings us through the valley's of darkness to the other side. The steady hope we have is HIM and His Word - the scriptures which brings us strong comfort when our hopes are dashed. But, to hope again is a decision we must make, and we must make that decision by faith. -

Dec 7, 2025 "Has God Cancelled Israel? Pt. 1" - Rom. 11
CCalvary Chapel of the CanyonsGod has reaffirmed the plan of Israel throughout the Bible. The rejection of Jesus is only temporary and it has a purpose. There are severe warnings in the Bible about cursing Israel, rejecting them as a nation and believing God has cancelled them. God does not lie and He has promised to never forsake Israel. if He does, how can you trust Him for your life?1 comment -
Nov. 30, 2025 - "A Thankful Attitude" Luke 17:11-19
CCalvary Chapel of the CanyonsBeing thankful is a choice. A choice that can lead to a fuller, richer, abundant life. We are to replace our complaining with thanksgiving. The choice to complain will lead to wilderness kind of living; leading a barren, boring life. Thankfulness leads to a fuller, fruitful life. It is our choice. Our choice to re-frame the harsh realities of life into what we can be thankful for. Lord help us! -
