The radicalized political Left has adopted a number of “woke commandments,” according to author Simon Hankinson. From demonizing borders to the erasure of history and gender, the radical Left has repeatedly rejected common sense, Hankinson asserts in his new book “The Ten Woke Commandments You Must Not Obey.” A researcher and writer by trade, Hankinson writes that his work centers on “truth,” but “[o]bjective truth is always on the run under communism and dictatorship, but in the past few years, it has been under assault in the free world, too—even in the United States.” Hankinson, a senior research fellow at The Heritage Foundation’s Border Security and Immigration Center, begins his work with “The First Commandment: You Shall Have No Borders,” an ideology that was largely put into practice under the Biden administration. The “no border” ideology has its “origins in sort of international socialism and globalism,” he said.
