Getting to the Meat of Sustainability - Full Presentation (Dr. Peter Ballerstedt)
benwehrmanDr. Ballerstedt earned his bachelors and masters degrees at the University of Georgia and his doctorate at the University of Kentucky. He has an extensive background in forage production, utilization and forage-based livestock production systems and was the forage extension specialist at Oregon State University from 1986 until 1992. Peter’s personal experience has led him to re-examine human diet and health. What he has learned doesn’t agree with the advice given for the past several decades. This new understanding combined with his forage background has given him an increased passion for the key to true social, economic and ecological sustainability – ruminant animal production systems – the source of butter, red meat, and cheese! 👕🔥 Shop Red Pill Threads - shirts that start conversations: https://www.redpillthreads.com/ben59 views -

How to End Desertification and Heal The Earth - Full Allan Savory TED Talk
benwehrman"Desertification is a fancy word for land that is turning to desert," begins Allan Savory in this quietly powerful talk. And terrifyingly, it's happening to about two-thirds of the world's grasslands, accelerating climate change and causing traditional grazing societies to descend into social chaos. Savory has devoted his life to stopping it. He now believes -- and his work so far shows -- that a surprising factor can protect grasslands and even reclaim degraded land that was once desert. 👕🔥 Shop Red Pill Threads - shirts that start conversations: https://www.redpillthreads.com/ben61 views 2 comments -

Living Soil - Full Documentary
benwehrmanOur soils support 95 percent of all food production, and by 2060, our soils will be asked to give us as much food as we have consumed in the last 500 years. They filter our water. They are one of our most cost-effective reservoirs for sequestering carbon. They are our foundation for biodiversity. And they are vibrantly alive, teeming with 10,000 pounds of biological life in every acre. Yet in the last 150 years, we’ve lost half of the basic building block that makes soil productive. The societal and environmental costs of soil loss and degradation in the United States alone are now estimated to be as high as $85 billion every single year. Like any relationship, our living soil needs our tenderness. It’s time we changed everything we thought we knew about soil. Let’s make this the century of living soil. This 60-minute documentary features innovative farmers and soil health experts from throughout the U.S., with accompanying lesson plans for college and high school. "Living Soil" was directed by Chelsea Myers and Tiny Attic Productions based in Columbia, Missouri, and produced by the Soil Health Institute through the generous support of The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. The film and lesson plans are available to download at www.soilhealthinstitute.org/livingsoil 👕🔥 Shop Red Pill Merch - Conversation-Starting Shirts: https://www.redpillthreads.com/ben14 views -
Soil Carbon Cowboys - Short Film
benwehrmanGabe Brown, Allen Williams and Neil Dennis were all going out of business with their conventional grazing – then nature forced their hand to try grazing without chemicals because they couldn’t afford them anymore. They are now the pioneers in regenerative grazing – replacing the specter of bankruptcy with resiliency. These ranchers regenerate their soils which makes their animals healthier and their operations more profitable. Robust soils enable rainwater to sink into the earth rather than run off; and retain that water, so the ranches are much more resilient in drought. Filmed in Starkville, Mississippi: Bismarck, North Dakota; Wawona, Saskatchewan, Canada 👕🔥 Shop Red Pill Merch - Conversation-Starting Shirts: https://www.redpillthreads.com/ben16 views -
