Talk Talk - Band

Another great live show from the Rotterdam Ahoy Arena - this time from 1984, on the 21st Sept, and featuring Talk Talk - with the late great Mark Hollis out front - this track is "Such A Shame" My personal record of seeing Talk Talk, was as support act for the Genesis/Peter Gabriel reunion show at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1982 - a show which consisted of a massive torrential downpour throughout, and a five hour delay to leave the car park afterwards. Unfortunately I was there to see Genesis, and sort of skipped over the Talk Talk section - a decision that I severely regret now, as Talk Talk are now amongst my favourite all time artists. I know if I had a time machine and could revisit that day, I would pay them a lot more attention. But at least I can say I did see them live. I am not sure of any record of them that day exists. Taken from the brilliant "The Colour of Spring" album from 1986 - this is "Talk Talk" with a live version of the track "Give It Up". Fronted by the late great Mark Hollis, they made some fantastic music between 1982 and 1991 - certainly a massive influence on me, and a devastatingly sad day when Mark died - although he was long out of the business when it happened. Was going to upload the version from the 1986 Montreaux concert, but decided this version from "The Tube" TV show was just as fabulous.
