Brand New Christian Messages

This message is advice and guidance for brand new, or soon to be brand new Christians. It's all the advice and instructions I would of liked to have had when I first gave my life to the Lord and became a follower of Jesus. Most will not be able to listen till the very end of this message because it is not for them. But for the ones that do listen till the end, I pray that you are blessed and helped by it and hope to see you in the celestial city above.

I'm handing you a treasure map. It shows the way to a treasure of eternal life and fellowship with the King of Kings forever. The location of the treasure is marked by a cross and it is difficult to find. Most laugh in unbelief; few grab hold of it and start the search. What will you do?

* At the 10:50 mark, when describing the change the Holy Spirit makes in your soul, I said regeneration, but I meant to say, that's the Holy Spirit sanctifying you.* The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Not a scared frightful fear, but a respectful, reverent fear.

I hope this short talk helps you to understand true repentance and how important it is to change direction "permanently". To be clear, repentance doesn't save you. That is the work of Jesus and His death on the cross. Repentance is the fruit or evidence of salvation.

Trying to describe salvation to an unbeliever is like describing the indescribable, because they have a veil over their eyes and cannot see. I pray this short message will help some see the way, the truth and the life.

Two times in the book of Acts a group of people were cut to the heart when they heard a message about Jesus. The first group repented and believed. The second group got angry and stoned Stephen. Everyone has one of these two reactions when told the truth about Jesus. What is yours?

Trying to run and hide from God is pointless and a waste of valuable time. I wasted most of my life running and hiding and I wish I didn't.
