In June 2024, Julian Assange entered into a plea deal with the U.S. Department of Justice pleading guilty to one espionage charge in exchange for a five-year sentence, which the U.S. agreed had already been served on remand in a UK prison. This ended a fourteen-year period of hell for Assange for the crime of practicing journalism. Joe Biden has spent almost 50 years in Washington, D.C. and, prior to that, a handful of years practicing law. He is the personification of a career politician. Personally I find him unimpressive, uninspiring and unaccomplished despite his longevity in D.C. A growing minority, however, view him as a hero for exposing the illegal and unconstitutional mass surveillance program which was implemented shortly after the terrorist attack on September 11. Three myths about the Great Depression are examined: Myth #1 - Herbert Hoover and his free market laissez-faire economic policies caused the depression. Myth #2 - FDR and the New Deal kept the depression from getting worse. Myth #3 - World War II cured the depression.
