Heart To Heart, isn’t there those times where you would just like to scream out: God! What are you doing??? Yes! Been there and felt that temptation to fall into the lies of the enemy and get upset with God. He knows what He is doing, He sure does and it is funny that we would question Him, the God of the Universe, the ONE Who created and maintains it all. But, us human beings in our human condition, we have our plans, don’t we. So many times my plans have just exploded and my dreams have died and things went totally opposite from what I planned. Isn’t that the truth!!! It happens! I found myself many a time saying: This is not my plan Lord! I don’t understand Your way, but I trust Your heart for me. Many times I see the Lord opening up a way that I don’t want to go. It is not what I planned. I have bucked up my will against what God was doing, but it doesn’t really work, His Will is stronger and His plan is always better for me even if it doesn’t feel very comfortable. The Sovereign Sway of God, we can see it in our life circumstances very clearly. The Holy Spirit is working in us and we can feel and see the direction He wants us to go from the Sovereign Sway of God in our circumstances, step into it, the way He is moving. So even though we complain and we cry out to God in dismay, the Holy Spirit keeps swaying in a specific direction and we need to step into the “Sovereign Sway Of God”! The Holy Spirit navigates us and as we let be, be still and go in followship of that Sovereign Sway of God’s Will for us, stepping into the sway of God’s Will, peace comes and as always, the endgame of God’s Sovereign Will is so good for us. Stop The Drift! Anchor! It is so good that we anchor ourselves to Christ and His Word because in the midst of the chaotic crazy-frenzy of this world, we are securely and firmly anchored to God’s hope, an anchor that will hold. God is a strong anchor there is no doubt about that, we know it in our hearts. We need to do our part and anchor to God’s Word. Truth stands the tests of time and trials of deception. God’s truth is a light that can’t be extinguished. We have an Advocate, the Holy Spirit of Truth, with us always, never leaves, never forsakes, always wins the day. Yes, anchored to God, our Hearts are undivided and serving God in that wholly-holy kind of way where we are all in with Him. Yet, we have to be so very careful, beware of what I call, The Drift… Suddenly, things can come into our lives that knock our feet out from under us, and a subtle change of focus happens from Jesus to that really bad circumstance. And we drift, slowly drifting away from God our undivided heart of loyalty, trust, belief, it divides between Christ’s Ways and our situation, between truth and doubt, and between this world, and God’s Kingdom. The soul emotions the enemy has evoked in our bad situation become part of our drift away from God, not to Him, but away from Him. Our heart is then divided and we drift, becoming unstable in all of our ways as we chase after our emotions and doubt takes center stage in our lives. Before we realize it, we have drifted and our heart is severely divided and has hardened. Our beautiful, undivided, pliable, soft, compassionate heart is like a stone. How sad is that?! Sad, yes, but not permanent as God continues to reach for us, never gives up on us. Having a divided heart is truly a dangerous thing, because the more we stay divided in heart, the further we drift from God, and we no longer see His way, truth, and life and are distracted by what we can’t fix, we overthink in assumptions, supplied to our mind by the enemy of our soul. Overthinking is exhausting and that is where our enemy wants us to be. Not thriving, but totally spent. This is when our hearts become stone cold with no common sense, no compassion, no mercy. Remember the enemy of our soul, he came to steal, kill and destroy us, this is a warning to us. Don’t try to be the Savior, don’t try to be the fixer… It is time for us to remember Who the Fixer Is, Who the Savior Is, Who the LifeGiver Is and all three of these titles and responsibilities belong to Jesus. It is time for us to REMEMBER GOD SAID that He came to give us life, and give us an abundant life, a life where we thrive in Him, this is our Promise. Having an undivided heart is dangerous to the enemy of our soul, but having a divided heart is dangerous to us. Why? Walking in the power, wisdom, truth, hope and peace of God makes us strong in Christ, not in ourselves but in God, unstoppable in Him! But walking with a divided heart, kindling our own fire, walking by the light of a man-made fire makes us dangerous, because that fire will flame out and leave everyone in the dark. As, we choose to anchor ourselves to God and His Truth, we stop the drift away from Him. Heart To Heart, In these culturally chaotic times, we must keep our focus on God, stay in followship of Him, guard our hearts and minds with God’s truth, and allow no drift… stay anchored to God’s way, truth and life. I am hoping we keep our heart undivided in loyalty, hope, and trust in God and are found being wholly-holy for God. Buckle Up! Put On Your God Armor!! God Does Not Do Things In Our Conventional Ways. The Dunamis of God is marvelously-mightily-miraculous. Everyday God maintains our strength with His Dunamis power. This strength of God is found in the inner spiritual core of every single believer of Jesus Christ, this inherent power that resides in God as a part of His nature. It is pretty obvious to those of us who know Jesus Christ personally, as our Lord, that we do not live being a person of integrity with our own strength, or by our own will power, it is not by our might, nor by our power but by the Holy Spirit of God’s might within us. Dunamis Integrity! With our culture in the chaos it is in, our soul can be drained so easily, we need to guard our hearts with all diligence, there is strength in the living Word of God. Being Word Strong is so easy, it is just our choice to be so. Why easy? Because the Word of God is available to us in so many ways could be songs, psalms, teachings, our bible, podcasts, videos, movies, studies and so on… But then the best part is that we can open our lives and hearts wide to that vital-vertical relationship with the Living Word of God, Jesus Christ. We are not alone, we are not without the renewing strength of God. God is masterful at His Advocacy of care and equipping us with every thing we need to succeed in this life. The Word “Dunamis” was just dropped into my spirit as my new point of growth. I am studying and learning about the strength of God in me and how to consistently walk in His strength and not mine. I find that when I kindle my own fire and walk by the light of a man-made fire that it flames out. God’s light is not like that. It is never extinguished by anything. Dunamis strength helps us to make strong moral choices in times when morality is at an all time low. We can make great moral choices even in the midst of our cultural confusion and chaos. The choices I make are not my own, the strength to be a person of integrity comes from God’s Will and power in me, helping me to be a person of integrity. We can be people of integrity through the strength of our God. Integrity opens up our relationship with one another to a purity of righteousness with Jesus at the center of all of our relationships. The Gospel, God’s Word is transformative for all relationships. God’s Dunamis power is transforming and strengthening us daily, creating in us a passionate desire to be people of integrity. We are loved by a God Who maintains our strength. Dunamis Integrity happens when we cling to God and dig our life roots deeply in God and He empowers our self control, navigating us in a godly direction. We no longer live in that area of mediocrity where we are reacting emotionally, fleshing out by way of our human condition. No, we can respond in a self-controlled way, that is strong, moral, and right, and walk in mighty strength and wonderful works of godliness. Yes, Dunamis Integrity is the power of God within us, which is activated by the Living Word of God as it is effecting our decisions, where we are able to live, and move, and have our being in Christ Jesus’ way, truth and life. When the Dunamis power of God is working in our lives it will produce the integrity of the holiness of God. Even if we are weakened by our situations, the Dunamis Integrity of God can strengthen us and we can make good choices, the first time. There is no reason why we can’t stay heart to heart with God and all of us be people of integrity. God is always with us. His power always available to us. Jesus alive in us, in that right living kind of way is a sweet result of Dunamis Integrity. A person of integrity and a relationship based on integrity, and good moral choices is a beautiful thing. God shows us His way of walking in integrity, it is doing what is just, being kind and merciful and acting with self-controlled humility: He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? [Deut. 10:12, 13.] Micah 6:8 God is able to empower us to be people of integrity: Ephesians 3:20–21: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Our self-controlled integrity is not mediocre in fleshout emotional reaction, we respond in the power of God. We are empowered by God, and it is in this Dunamis Integrity, that the mediocre reaction of the flesh is purposefully outlawed by the power of Christ in us, Dunamis Power, doing immeasurably more than we could have hope for or imagined, this Dunamis power of God at work within us, from every moment into every choice, for our good and for bringing Him glory. We can be Empowered by God to be people of Dunamis Integrity within the spiritual renewal that takes place in our daily, vital vertical relationship with God.
