7 Signs You're Eating Too Much Sugar
Dr. Eric BergDiscover the signs you’re eating too much sugar. Number 1 will surprise you! 0:00 Introduction: The classic side effects of sugar 0:15 Sugar vs. carbohydrates 3:12 7 signs you’re eating too much sugar 4:59 The #1 sign you’re eating too much sugar In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the side effects of consuming too much sugar. Some of the well-known side effects of sugar include fatigue, brain fog, belly fat, carb cravings, and cavities. Is there a difference between sugar and carbohydrates? A carbohydrate consists of sugar, fiber, and starch. Starches are called polysaccharides, meaning many sugars or multiple sugar molecules connected together. Starches raise blood sugar levels significantly more than sugar. Starches like maltodextrin, modified food starch, and modified corn starch have a much higher glycemic index than sugar. Here are 7 surprising signs that you’re consuming too much sugar: 7. Reduced collagen Reduced collagen will result in loose, wrinkled skin and premature aging. 6. Chronic white tongue Candida from too much sugar will cause you to have a white tongue. You won’t be able to get rid of it without eliminating sugar from the diet. 5. Chronic sinus problems Most chronic sinus problems are caused by a fungus called Aspergillus that feeds on sugar. 4. Red or pink gums Red or pink on your toothbrush after brushing could signify a mild case of scurvy or vitamin C deficiency. High sugar consumption blocks vitamin C. 3. Low testosterone Low testosterone can cause erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, and difficulty building muscle. 2. Susceptibility to infection Too much sugar can weaken your immune system, making you more vulnerable to infection. 1. High adrenaline levels Too much sugar damages the cell’s ability to make energy in the mitochondria. To compensate, the body produces more adrenaline. Sugar vs. Cocaine: Which Is Worse for Your Brain?
Dr. Eric BergDid you know you can eliminate brain fog and improve cognitive function if you quit sugar? Discover the surprising connection between sugar and brain health and the amazing benefits of cutting out sugar. WHY SUGAR IS MORE HARMFUL THAN YOU THINK: https://drbrg.co/3GlCgEo 0:00 Introduction: The effects of sugar on the brain 0:22 Sugar and memory loss 0:46 Sugar and brain health 2:17 Quit sugar and eliminate refined carbohydrates 2:42 The benefits of cutting out sugar 4:21 Sugar and refined carbohydrate replacements Check out more Keto Recipes here: https://drbrg.co/3GuwoIQ Butter Chicken Video: ▶️ https://youtu.be/L-B5RlVKd7s Sugar creates similar effects to cocaine and heroin in certain parts of the brain. In one study, if given a choice, a lab rat will go after sugar instead of cocaine! Sugar can alter your hormones and put you in a state of anxiety. It can even cause a mild form of dementia, leading to forgetfulness and memory loss. Sugar affects the hippocampus, which controls memory. The brain can run on glucose, but too much glucose can eventually hinder absorption. You only need one teaspoon of sugar in your blood at one time, but people consume much more than that! Excess sugar is stored as fat. Over time, high sugar consumption can lead to insulin resistance, depriving the brain cells of the energy they need. People often consume way more sugar than they know in beverages like juice or due to hidden sugar in the form of starch. A low-carb diet creates the most benefits for your health. It can reverse diabetes in 10 weeks! You’re no longer feeding your brain glucose when you're on a low-carb diet. A low-carb diet forces the body to mobilize ketones to feed your brain. Once you quit sugar, you’ll notice an improved mood, better concentration and attention, a better ability to learn, improved memory, and brain fog will be gone. Cutting carbs and quitting sugar will leave many people hungry, unsatisfied, and craving certain foods. The solution is to increase protein! Sufficient protein and fat can help eliminate cravings and decrease the desire to snack. There are also plenty of healthy substitutions that can make it easier to quit sugar. You do not need to consume sugar to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. Your liver can create sugar from other food sources. 15 Signs You're Eating Too Much Sugar
Brainy DoseHere are some warning signs you’re eating too much sugar! While there’s nothing wrong with occasional sugar cravings, the effects of sugar on the body can lead to serious health problems. Many people joke around saying they are addicted to sugar. But it turns out, they very well just might be! That’s because consuming sugar releases dopamine in the brain - the neurotransmitter that makes us feel happy. No wonder so many people find themselves craving sweets more than they would like to admit. When it comes to the sweet stuff though, there is too much of a good thing. Most people don’t pay too much attention to their sugar intake, because they often associate high sugar symptoms with diabetes. But too much glucose in the blood causes sugar highs followed by drastic lows - leading to all kinds of unpleasant symptoms. In addition, high amounts of fructose can significantly increase cardiovascular risks. Since high blood sugar levels are linked to numerous health issues, it’s important to educate yourself about the effects of too much sugar. You need to learn to recognize the symptoms of high sugar in your diet - so you know when it’s time to cut back. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Music: Epidemic Sound Visuals: VideoBlocks / Dreamstime / Other Voice-over Recording, Audio & Video Production by Brainy Dose For any copyright related queries please contact us directly at [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------12 views -

9 Signs You Are Eating Too Much Sugar
Natural Cures9 Signs You Are Eating Too Much Sugar Who doesn’t have a sweet tooth? Just blame it on the delicious taste of sugar. Most people will admit they consume sugar in large amounts. Sometimes, it’s obvious like when you sweeten tea or coffee. But it also lurks in abundance in some of our favorite food and beverages. The American Heart Association (AHA) places the following major sources of added sugars at the top of their list: Soft drinks; Candy; Cakes and pies; Cookies; Dairy desserts; Fruit drinks; The AHA recommends that American women consume 100 calories or less of added sugar each day. This equals about 6 teaspoons of sugar. For men, the daily calorie cap of added sugar is 150, or about 9 teaspoons. In today’s video we’ll highlight 9 flashing lights that may be signaling you are consuming too much sugar. 1. Fatigue Sugar can create a sugar high and give the illusion that you are energetic. Yet, when that blood sugar tumbles, you’ll suddenly feel sluggish. To regain that temporary euphoria, you race to the cookie jar. Consider instead, adding fiber and protein to your diet. Nutrients provide genuine energy. Since fiber and protein digest more slowly, you’ll feel fuller for longer. And these nutrients don’t cause sugar peaks and valleys. Opt for foods rich in proteins, such as eggs, lean chicken, veggies, whole grains and fruits. 2. Complexion Issues Consuming extra sugar may leave visual clues on your face. Those who are sensitive to soaring insulin from eating too much sugar will send their hormones in a tailspin. The result may be acne or other embarrassing complexion issues. Not sure about last this sentence in yellow highlight. Is it something you want to include? 3. Endless Craving for Sweets Breaking a sugar addiction can be done, but it’s difficult. Once your body habitually receives a large amount of sugar, the vicious internal cycle is set in motion. 4. Mood Shifts A fresh dose of sugar can create a short burst of energy and suddenly, you feel like everything is right with the world and in your life. When the energy tanks, you’ll be grouchy and irritable. So those junk foods are only a temporary treat for taste buds, but they aren’t doing any wonders for your mood. 5. Weight Gain You won’t have to look too far to see where those mid-day snacks are residing; they are probably encircling your midsection. After all, the body has to stash that sugar somewhere and it typically lands on the belly. If you begin to curb sugary snacks and soda, you may not need to buy new jeans after all. 6. Cavities Dentists are quick to remind us that sugar can launch an attack on teeth; it’s one of the biggest culprits of instigating dental decay. Sugar doesn’t have to be totally eliminated from your diet. You’ll just need to consume the type of sugar that’s healthy, including reduced sugar yogurt, low-fat milk or fresh berries. 7. Foggy Brain Sugar is often the guilty culprit for a person’s forgetfulness, elevated stress and inability to sleep. To function properly, the brain depends upon a steady supply of blood glucose. Steady is the key word; a sudden sugar surge followed by a rapid descent can create confusion. 8. Sweets Lose their Taste Taste buds are our sensors to let our brain know what’s sweet. Too much sugar can throw these taste buds off balance. They don’t give us that same satisfaction that something has the same sweet flavor. 9. A Case of the Blues Too much sugar can often be linked to depression. A daily quantity of excess sugar can cause inflammation in the body and as well as in the brain. Studies reveal that clinically depressed patients have a higher rate of brain inflammation. Find Your Body Type: http://bit.ly/BodyTypeQuiz If you crave foods that aren't good for you, check out this digital book full of healthy alternatives to your favorite sweets!: https://shop.drberg.com/ketogenic-desserts Timestamps 0:09 Why people have food cravings 3:02 How your body talks to you 3:33 The nutrition imbalance with cravings 4:29 How these cravings can block fat burning 5:02 How doctors typically treat issues that cause cravings 8:08 How food affects serotonin and other issues 10:48 How to overcome pleasure foods and cravings In this video, we're going to talk about the real pain of pleasure foods. I'm going to share with you what's really behind this, and what you need to do to overcome food cravings. When we look below the surface of sugar cravings or food cravings, we see that people really love to feel pleasure. We try to relieve stress, upset, hunger, fatigue, and pain by eating certain pleasure foods. When you're feeling tempted by junk food cravings, you need to ask yourself what problem you're really trying to solve, and fix the real problem instead of covering it up with foods. As soon as you give in to food cravings, you want more and more. Food triggers various responses that cause hormones to be affected. The hormones that are affected are serotonin and beta-endorphins. Your body doesn't have words to talk to you, but it will talk to you through cravings. Cravings are your body's way of communicating to you what nutrients it needs. There is a chemical imbalance that occurs with cravings and a nutrient imbalance, as well. Be aware of what you're eating. Let's say you eat something small and sweet, that little treat could block fat burning for up to 72 hours. The bad foods can also create a plethora of other side effects and problems. Are chocolate, snacks, and other bad foods really worth the pain of pleasure foods? How to overcome pleasure foods and food cravings: • You have to replace this bad food with healthy foods that still create a pleasurable effect. Increase the healthy fats in your diet. I provide many different recipes on my website that are great healthy alternatives to junk foods. • Increase the nutrients you're getting to help the body. Dr. Eric BergHere’s what’s really causing your cravings, and how to deal with food cravings. Timestamps 0:10 What cravings mean 0:15 What causes cravings, and how to deal with food cravings In this video, we’re going to talk about cravings and how to deal with food cravings. Cravings are a good indication that you’re missing something in the body. What causes cravings and how to deal with food cravings: Sweet cravings If you’re craving sweets, you’re not burning fat. You’re burning sugar. It may also be caused by a potassium deficiency. You need 7-10 cups of vegetables per day to get the potassium and other nutrients you need. But, if you’re getting enough potassium, it could be because of adrenal burnout, in which case you may need L-tryptophan. Starch cravings This would include things like potatoes and pasta. This may be a vitamin B deficiency. In this case, you may want to try taking nutritional yeast. You may also want to take L-tryptophan and possibly dopamine. Salt cravings This could mean that the adrenals are losing salt. You may want to get plenty of sea salt along with potassium. Fat cravings Craving fatty foods like deep-fried foods could mean there is a liver, gallbladder, or bile issue going on. You might not be absorbing fat-soluble vitamins. Increasing bile may help. Chocolate cravings Craving chocolate could mean that the adrenal glands need more serotonin because they’re burnt out. Having more L-tryptophan and magnesium may help. Sour cravings Craving sour things could be because of a choline deficiency. The best natural remedy for this may be to have a lot of lemons and choline. Nutritional yeast may help as well. Ice cravings Ice cravings could be because of an iron deficiency. Caffeine cravings For caffeine cravings, you may want to try a supplement called phenylpiracetam. Alcohol cravings A good substitute for alcohol in kombucha tea. Dopa Mucuna may also help. Drug cravings Dopa Mucuna may help. Hungry all of the time Getting more bile and fat-soluble vitamins may help in this situation. MSG Increasing potassium may help with MSG cravings. Stress eaters A good natural remedy for stress eaters might be magnolia. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 56, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. How to Prevent Afternoon Blood Sugar Crash – Dr. Berg
Dr. Eric BergFind out how to prevent a blood sugar crash with these simple tips. 0:00 Introduction: How to prevent a low blood sugar crash in the afternoon 0:10 Symptoms of a blood sugar crash 0:55 What causes a blood sugar crash? 1:30 Remedies for a blood sugar crash 2:16 Subscribe to my channel! In this video, we’re going to talk about blood sugar crashes that typically occur in the afternoon. What causes them and how can you prevent them? Between 3:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon, some people experience a blood sugar crash. This can cause you to feel tired, irritable, and can even cause poor vision. Other common signs of a blood sugar crash are salty cravings around 8:00 p.m. and chocolate or sweet cravings around 11:30 a.m. Eating or snacking during a blood sugar crash can make you feel better temporarily, but actually makes things worse over time. A blood sugar crash occurs because you’re dependent on sugar for fuel. This means that your blood sugar is constantly going up and down throughout the day. When you eat, you trigger insulin which lowers your blood sugar. Eating raises your blood sugar, but then it’s lowered once again by insulin. Over time, this develops into insulin resistance. Insulin resistance can cause many health issues including inflammation, belly fat, and metabolic syndrome. Understanding that the crashes you’re experiencing are a blood sugar problem is the first step in stopping your blood sugar crashes. Try these tips to stop blood sugar crashes for good: 1. Increase your fat intake during meals to go longer in between meals without feeling hungry. 2. Make sure you’re eating a moderate amount of protein. If you aren’t eating enough, it could negatively affect your blood sugar. 3. Ensure that you’re eating plenty of greens. The minerals in vegetables help to stabilize the blood sugar. 4. Consume apple cider vinegar. 5. Look out for hidden carbs. 6. Do keto and intermittent fasting.
