Rooted in the vibrant myths of Yorubaland, Iyanu by Youneek Studios and Dark Horse Comics tells a Nigerian superhero tale of courage and destiny. This animated trailer unveils Iyanu, an orphaned teen, as she awakens her divine powers to battle an ancient curse threatening her people. The magical kingdom comes alive with sweeping visuals, a stirring orchestral score, and voiceovers that echo the story’s epic stakes, all crafted with fluid sequences that honor the graphic novel’s spirit. It was a privilege to storyboardand animate this journey, bringing Roye Okupe’s vision to life for fans of African storytelling.Feedback is welcome!
