The Case for Christ

I listened to this a few months ago and the first part especially spoke to me. My brain darts around like The Great Attractor Orb in "Men in Black". When I start a project, I open one mental drawer, then another, then another, I get distracted by hunger, the pups wanting to kill something in the back yard, chores, I open another drawer then convince myself I need a break and open five more drawers and by the end of the day I have a few dozen drawers open and none of them closed. I almost posted this two months ago, but alas, opened too many other drawers. Control of the mind, rejection of that which is unholy, not good, not righteous, not pointing to God, etc...is the root of living as God intended.

My relatives were all Catholic when I was growing up. I tried to faithfully follow Catholic traditions thinking I could find my way to heaven. And then I did something a bit brash--I read the Bible. And I found this, I found that, I found the God of the Bible said nothing about praying to Mary, nothing about purgatory, nothing about a lot of things the Catholic church taught as dogma. So not being a rebel and believing in my church, I cornered a few priests and asked for clarification. They said it was "tradition". I stayed for five more years, not wanting to upset my family, who refused to discuss scripture or their beliefs, they simply said, "Stay in the Catholic church and don't talk religion anymore in the house." So I left, and I've never regretted it. I don't advocate for a certain faith belief system, I advocate for following God's word. God's wrath doesn't care about your man-made-traditions.

A baby is killed in the most brutal way by having its limbs and body torn to pieces inside the womb. This is what the "pro choice" folks call reproductive freedom.

Not so pretty--this is what it looks like to destroy an innocent, helpless human life. It doesn't matter if it's surgical or chemical, abortion is killing, it is murder. #lovethemboth
