Guitarmeggeddon
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." Turbulent circles of impending doom Rifle thru the smoke that fills my room Conflicting ideals that echo hate and distrust A fragile blue pearl seems destined to rust. Ambitions embroiled in self-holied fight Twisted perception that might makes right Wickedly planning the destruction of hordes A karmic meltdown that no one can afford. Can anyone judge the goodness of war? A titan’s vengeance on a monster afar? Does a threat perceived justify a kill? Does God guarantee the sanctity of will? The little people never know the truth of this We banter and chatter, we cheer and we hiss In boardrooms and palaces, our fate is assigned To clandestine agendas of our elected behinds. So rail if you can against injustice and pain And scream disapproval if it’s not for our gain Praise not for Allah, our purely sapient toil Your duty is Human, not for nation or oil.4 views -
Just Wanna Rock
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." I don't want to gangsta rap but I dig R and B Western's fine for dancing when it's out in the country And I got nothing at all against Beethoven and Bach But as for me, all I want to do is rock. Rockin your girl, rockin your world Rockin your cage, rockin on stage Rocking on time, rocking sublime Rockin your cares, rock if you dare... My kid tells me every day that he hates his school "Dad, my nose in those books, well that ain't too cool," And even though he's a first string footballin' jock There's nothing he'd rather do than kick ass rock... A housewife I know has this great secret dream That doesn't include her three kids and their screams And though it's not nice to abandon her flock Given her chance, well, she'd love to rock. Rockin your girl, rockin your world Rockin your cage, rockin on stage Rocking on time, rocking sublime Rockin your cares, rock if you dare...7 views -
I'm Tired of Your Garbage
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." I’m tired of your garbage that passes off as art I’m sickened by your anger, it’s primitive and dark Can't you think of anything of all there is to be Must you come off swearingly in dollar’s idolatry. Your atavistic simple mind is governed by your id Such lowest level functioning, emotions rarely hid The finer thoughts of humankind are well beyond your reach Greed and sex and anger is the best that you can preach. So raise your level, raise your plan Raise your kids, be a man Don't blame me, don’t blame her Wear responsibility like your fur. Don't you dare blame me cause you didn’t get ahead You’re the one who laid down in unlawful slothful beds You cheat, you steal, and you lie, and you think that it’s okay Laziness and procrastination and thievery never won the day. Boldly you pass off talent as tribal chants and raves Your insolence disgusts me, your morality degrades The fabric of our culture, coarser by the hour Things will get no better as cretins acquire power. Your angst grows like a fungus, it’s ugly and it smells May all you ignorant gangsters rot away in dismal cells Police and fireman waste their time chasing crap like you Our system is too easy on you scum, for the good it’s sadly true. If you use a gun to commit a crime, your payment is your death Our society cannot tolerate any more of your vile evil filth. Though beyond your ken, life is sacred in all its forms indeed Only the depraved destroy in their lusty ignorance and greed. So thin out the herd, choose and breed, raise us to a higher plane Remove the darkest elements for our culture does cruelly wane As lawlessness reaches a critical state and governing will be undone You have been warned, the signs are there, civilization’s on the run. Oh and it’s not like The Powers That Be don’t know what’s going on Instability in the streets is guaranteeing their powers prolong Keep the little people crazy and busy covering their naive little asses Bigger crimes are behind the scenes in boardroom’s dim morasses. So let the races squabble and moan, a tribal conflict at best While high in the towers of conceit, manipulation’s someone’s jest Though this life is short and deceiving, your soul has an honest face Forgive the jerks infesting your world, attitude’s your winning grace. So do us all a wondrous favor and lobotomize yourself castrated Stick a screwdriver in your eye and twist it till your sated With your mindless drivel and careless hatred you are a caveman still A notch below Zinjanthropus, I don’t wish to pay your bill. Sure I’m pissed and so should you be, a race so disappointing Barely up from all fours, evolution has passed them wanting A rampant humanoid viral agent is ignorance to be crushed Those who carry on and proliferate it should openly be flushed.10 views -
Freedom Fighter
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." I am a freedom fighter, I’ve nothing left to lose My house, my kin, my friends all gone My anger’s what I choose. I am a freedom fighter, my rifle keeps me warm I kill in the name of what I believe Of bloody hands was I born. I am a freedom fighter, that’s all that I have left No love, no food, no shelter at all To victims’ cries am I deaf. I am a freedom fighter, from this prison in lowly hell I really do not know any better I’ll throw my life down a well. My life, you see, means so little in the larger scheme of things If I can make clear the way for our righteous advancing kings I’d lay down my life in a heartbeat, death strapped upon my chest I have so little to gain here, in glorious death will I rest. I am a freedom fighter, not handsome, tall or well-built Your eye in my sights makes us equal As I ignore any feelings of guilt. I am a freedom fighter, hungry and I smell Of dirt and blood and sweat and more And secrets I’ll not tell. I am a freedom fighter, in rags that cover my face No one sees my awful coming My killings leave no trace. I am a freedom fighter, for a cause that I hold dear My colored skin and scars within Will surely disappear. And so, you see, I carry on, in muck, in dirt, in pain I don’t suspect you’ll understand my hatred and disdain A crust of bread, a bowl of rice, a rotting piece of meat Is heaven to the hungry, sustains us in the heat. I am a freedom fighter, I’ve nothing left to lose No car, no home, no children to love Opulence lights my fuse. Yes, I am a freedom fighter, and I commit until the end In my mind it stands for something Not flocks that I must tend. So join me as a freedom fighter, give all your goods away And creep inside this mortal coil Moment in a minute in every day. I am a freedom fighter, don’t know a nobler cause To fight and die, to curse and lie In the name of some god’s laws.3 views -
Life is a Decoy
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." Life is but a decoy, my friend, it isn’t what you think at all We’re riding a vehicle of flesh and bone, the Creator’s reveille call And though we think we act alone, our spirits are all entwined In truth we are all just discrete facets of the eternal infinite Mind. We gloat and we strut and contrive that by ourselves we are strong Yet grains of sand are we awash in beaches many light years long But there’s power even there for a missing grain so changes it all For humility knows its place when bellowed conceit’s unwitting fall. Even more than a vehicle, we are the path to discover all that is We can become unlatched if we find what time’s true nature is Just like a piece of movie film, we see life as time, cells and tracks Our innumerable choices and decisions turn potentialities into facts. Life is but a journey to higher ground, not the collection of things Our pre-pubescent attitudes betray our severe lack of awakening Wake up, human child, wake up from your slumber of ignorance To a brighter day, a lighter way of tapping universal abundance.4 views -
Witness
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." Witness, if you will, the betraying of America... Looking up to see the stars, We asked for Venus, they gave us Mars Like Hamlet the Dane of ages past, Screwed by an uncle whose mold we cast. Young men are sent to faraway lands To believe, fight and die on forgotten sands God has been stricken from courts and schools The government takes us for senseless fools. One needs a lawyer to protect his own rights Malice aforethought in looking-glass nights Fed by a media of mouthpieces and liars The public is misled, washers and driers A chaos orchestrated by greed's own sake Under it all, they're just here to take A fabric of hysteria consolidates power Secrecy girds the unassailable tower.7 views -
Clear Decision
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." The aircraft plant was closing, the walls were coming down Those who could adapted, those who couldn’t left town. All across the Southland, commercials sank into red Without the government contracts, families won’t get fed. The glut of paid professionals now loosed upon the scene Struggle with their second choices and contemplate their dreams. For war is something known and feared and peace is just a vision We ask ourselves without remorse, is peace our clear decision? The black masses at the Pentagon, now ashen in disgrace to some Plead for increased taxpayer spending for secret projects to come. Yet thousands on the streets with no shoes, no shelter, no funds Rail against the madness -- hold their anger like a gun The people and our planet are the resources we must protect There will be no higher purpose if survival we don’t respect Let’s carefully choose our priorities -- can we really have it all? Yes, prosperity can be ours with peace, cooperation enthralled. Will money bring you happiness if forgiveness cannot be bought? Are we such unthinking fools to destroy what God hath wrought? Can we change our selfish ways to serve ourselves in kind? Will our brothers across the seas echo our maturing mind? The time is now, the place is here, the glorious brotherhood awaits Unknown cousins from beyond watch from behind the gates To bathe us in that special light of knowingness and trust Of depth renewed, and love construed, and exploration’s lust.5 views -
The Edge
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." Hey baby I'm hydrochloric for your love The bases below and the gas clouds above Those pyrosulfuric motions of love Hey baby I've got centripetal acceleration Not your average catenation-- But a highly generated oxidation Hey baby I've got torque for your love Such a blinding sublimation assays of The reactant pyrite glimpses of love Hey baby I'm reading the electropositive Nothing a cathode ray tube could give To a hexacarbonate ion's intuitive. Hey baby I'm smokin gamma rays Not the visible here, for uranium's what pays To the finally malleable amperage haze. Hey baby I'm eating kinetic energy I've saved all my dreams for the overdue elegy For the wave bearers of this spiritual technology. Hey baby I can ride that integral function Calcium bridge myoneural junction Spinning around a rotational unction. Hey baby I'm waiting for the trisection of angles Where the silicon chain enmeshes and tangles And the Philistine phallus lies dormant and dangles. So baby I'm out here on the edges A crystalline finish of sapphire hedges When all ya gotta know is just where the edge is.5 views -
Three AM in the City
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." The shaven-headed monkey wags his contorted fingers at the custom-painted deathtrap Hoists up his cinched khakis and lets them sag so his bloomers shine for everyone’s enjoyment Belches out a shit-faced grin whose breath could kill looking for new victims and crap Urinates on the sidewalk and sneers for they’ve no beer until his crew rolls out for rent. It’s three a.m. in the city and darker than dark Any fool worth his soul knows to avoid the park There’s dirt going down there and the police don’t know How low these boys can go, how low these boys can go. The corn-rowed convict throws down a two-bit challenge at another piece of dim-witted work Too high and primitive, rocked and immaculately stoned his jaws rattle out his profane speech With no insight and no hindsight and no need for either, this worthless punk is a jerk Who only knows how to take, how to steal, how to hurt, such are his obscene lessons to teach. It’s three a.m. in the city and bleaker than bleak The hood’s no place for the kind, mild or meek The animals in the jungle know it’s kill or be killed The death of civilization is an intolerable pill.7 views -
Riding Shotgun to an Electron
The Lifesmith GroupFrom the Lifesmith Group album, "Trifling." I had a dream just the other night I kept asking myself, "Do you feel alright? " The things that happened there -- crazy so it seemed And I really don't know what I seen I'm trying to remember what I seen Riding on my wife on the crest of a wave It seemed like a perfectly normal way to behave Crashing to the beach and right into bed Was it all really in my head Was it all made up in my head Riding shotgun to a critical mass Flying electron uranium blast Falling over Japan nineteen forty-five How much longer will I be alive Can it be that I am still alive Riding on a dolphin's back to the depths of fair Atlantis Uncovering discovering ancient scientific practice A culture that evolved long pre-Byzantine Could it have really been a dream Could it all really be a dream Riding on a spherical wave of immeasurable proportion Forty light years wide electromagnetic radiation Neutrinos and photons flying by my side Isn't life just one big sky ride When will the other life cease to hide Riding on the hot line from Washington to Moscow Those missiles that you're sending, we really can't allow I guess it'll have to be a war in the end And all I've left is this dream to defend Hoping that this dream is just a dream in the end Hoping that this dream is just a dream.4 views
