The Blessed Hellride is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. It contains a mix of heavy ("Stoned and Drunk", "Stillborn") and lighter ("The Blessed Hellride", "Dead Meadow") tracks. The second track, "Doomsday Jesus", was featured on the soundtrack to the video game MTX Mototrax, but with altered lyrics. The third track, "Stillborn", is featured on the soundtrack of the game Guitar Hero: World Tour. Frontman Zakk Wylde was also a playable celebrity rockstar in that same game. Ozzy Osbourne appears on the first single, "Stillborn", though his name was not used to promote the track. He is credited inside the booklet, however, due to Osbourne being on Sony Records at the time, Spitfire Records were not allowed to promote this song with Osbourne's name—a sticker on the cover of the album said "featuring special guest star". Grimmest Hits is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society. The album was released on January 19, 2018. According to AllMusic, the sound of the album was inspired by Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Zakk Wylde admitted in an interview with Billboard that he "just wanted to confuse people", regarding its title. Zachary Phillip Wylde is an American musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and as the founder, lead guitarist, lead singer, songwriter and producer of the heavy metal band Black Label Society. His signature bulls-eye design appears on many of his guitars and is widely recognized. He was also the lead guitarist and vocalist of Pride & Glory, who released one self-titled album in 1994 before disbanding. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Music, No. 1 Independent, and No. 2 Rock Charts. The album was also the No. 1 selling album at Best Buy for the week of its release, beating out Grammy-nominated Fall Out Boy by a considerable margin. Upon its release, the album landed at #1 spot on iTunes Top Rock Albums Chart and No. 7 on the Overall Top Albums Chart. Stillborn is a song by American heavy metal band Black Label Society from the album The Blessed Hellride. It was also released as a single. Zakk Wylde's own vocal style also became quite similar to Ozzy Osbourne's for this record, while Osbourne was featured in the song on chorus singing with Wylde the lines, "The feelings I once felt are now Dead and gone. I've waited here for you for so very long". Stillborn tells the story of a man whose girlfriend treats him so poorly and takes so much advantage of him that his love for her dies, leaving him feeling dead as well. The idea came together while touring together on Ozzfest.
