Danny gets a $200 reward for helping to apprehend a wanted criminal, but he has a falling out with the group when they think he should split the money with them. When the criminal Danny assisted in apprehending breaks out of prison and starts pursuing him, things get complicated.

Muggs McGinnis, the East Side boxing champion, has been challenged to face the West Side champion, but he is kidnapped before to the battle. After his friend Danny replaces him and prevails in the battle, Muggs believes Danny was the one who kidnapped him.

Uncle Pete, who is wealthy, pays Muggs a visit. Sadly, Muggs' late father boasted of having seven children, so he enlists gang members to pretend to be his relatives.

A young engineer named Jack marries Glimpy's unexpectedly attractive sister, and the two of them move into a "bargain" suburban home they have never seen. While on their honeymoon, Mugs gives the gang instructions to renovate the house for the newlyweds, they unintentionally choose the "haunted" house next door, which is inhabited by some mysterouslive men who are up to no good moving in and out of secret panels.

The judge orders Muggs to get a job "or else" and a society matron hires him to drive her crazy family. The remainder of the gang is employed as servants for the engagement party, which is hosted for the family's daughter. But amid the celebrations, a priceless necklace vanishes, and the entire gang is held accountable for the robbery.

After saving the millionaire from a mugging, the gang becomes friends with him, but they start to think that the man's son was one of the muggers. The gang decides to try to change the boy since they know that his father, who is grieving for an older son, killed in the war, will be distraught to find out that his other son is a criminal.

Supposedly on furlough, Muggs and Glimpy, two East Side Kids in the army, return to their neighborhood. In reality, Muggs has been honorably discharged with a physical defect, but he keeps this a secret from everyone. Another East Side teen, Danny, is incarcerated after a significant quantity of medical supplies were taken from the warehouse where he works. When Muggs notices Spider, a new gang member, flashing a lot of cash about, he cleverly turns toughie and brags that he has a dishonorable discharge due to stealing.

A new French youngster has moved into the neighborhood, and Muggs has to fight him.

Copy boy Muggs looks into the high-profile murder of Tom Wilson because he is frustrated that his bosses don't see his potential. When Gypsy Carmen, the ex-wife, is suspected, Muggs and the gang assume she is innocent and take her under their protection. Asa result of their meddling, newspaper owner Lester Cartwright is wrongfully accused ofthe murder, Jim Lindsay, a soon-to-be married writer, appears to be constantly falling behind, and Bobby Jordan, who is visiting from the Army, tries to catch up.

Glimpy discovers a necklace in an alley by a corpse. The gang becomes embroiled in murder, a plot involving a European royal family, and a murderer who will do whatever it takes to obtain the necklace that Muggs discovered.
