It’s a quiet character study. Ultimately, I think there are some good lessons, like be careful who you have kids with, be careful who you date, and be sure to take good care of yourself — physically and mentally. The story is narrated from the little sister’s perspective even though the story is supposed to be about the brother. To be fair, this could be good for showing how one generation influences the next. --- This wasn’t a fictional story review. “Michael” is a real person, in a real hospital right now in September 2025. In an interview, the author said he doubted anyone would review the book, and to be honest, that woke up my aspiring author sympathies. Even though I only get like 2 viewers (Lol). But, I took it kind of like a personal challenge. The book has been out 2 years, so it has dozens of reviews now.
