Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman: Defense of Ukraine is the Defense of the World
ALLATRAIn this exclusive interview, ALLATRA TV team speaks with the Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman who represents the All-Ukrainian Congress of Jewish Religious Communities. This is a frank and, at the same time, deeply respectful conversation with a spiritual leader who, in the most difficult times for the country, shows real concern for people and Ukraine’s future. Rabbi Azman runs a large volunteer center at the Brodsky Synagogue, which coordinates evacuation of tens of thousands of people from combat zones, helps civilians, hospitals, and those who find themselves in the most vulnerable conditions, providing them with food, medications, and basic necessities. In 2014, on his initiative, the Anatevka shelter village was founded — a special place where internally displaced people receive housing, medical care, and access to education, as well as support in restoring a peaceful and dignified life. Through the “Mitzvah for Ukraine” project, Rabbi Azman develops a network of canteens, schools, and social services that continue to serve society and unite people around the values of charity and mutual assistance. During the interview, questions have been raised not only about practical help, but also about what inner beliefs and spiritual guidelines underlie this activity. Rabbi Azman also reflects on how Ukraine is now becoming a symbol of protection of democracy and human dignity. Special attention has been paid to the topic of spiritual diplomacy and the importance of personal involvement of religious leaders in comprehending the current events. The interviewee recalls the visit of Pastor Mark Burns, spiritual adviser to Donald Trump, to Ukraine and discusses why it is extremely important that world spiritual and public figures see what is happening with their own eyes and bring the truth to the international community. This interview is an invitation to a thoughtful dialogue about compassion, responsibility, faith, courage, and the power of human unity. It is addressed to everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of Ukraine and the future of the world.38 views 1 comment -

Abdul Muqeed Majumdar: Protecting Bangladesh, Inspiring the World
ALLATRAIn this COP-30 interview, the ALLATRA International Public Movement speaks with Abdul Muqeed Majumdar — Chairman of the Prokriti O Jibon Foundation (“Nature and Life”), Vice Chairman of Impress Group, and a key initiator of environmental awareness initiatives in Bangladesh. For more than sixteen years, he has been developing projects focused on nature conservation, biodiversity, and raising ecological awareness. According to Mr. Majumdar, his work began as a personal philanthropic initiative, which has grown into a larger movement. Utilizing the extensive media reach of Channel i, he produces programs about nature, supports field research, and personally travels to communities to convey the importance of preserving ecosystems to local populations. In the interview, he emphasizes that Bangladesh is a country, a significant part of which lies at sea level and is highly vulnerable to cyclones and floods. Loss of biodiversity, land degradation, and environmental pollution increase the population’s vulnerability. Therefore, he stresses the importance of educating people about the role of trees, wetlands, rivers, seas, animals, and all surrounding ecosystems in their lives. Mr. Majumdar believes that achieving real change requires three key steps — widespread public awareness, personal responsibility on the part of each individual, and strict enforcement of environmental laws. He calls for collective action, highlighting that no single person or organization can tackle this challenge alone. In conclusion, he speaks about the future: if the current generation does not protect the planet, the worsening environmental situation will have even more severe consequences for our children and grandchildren. “We must act now to leave them a world in which it is possible to live,” he notes. This interview is a sincere call for global collaboration, environmental education, and shared responsibility for the Earth. ALLATRA International Public Movement: https://allatra.org/23 views -

Shellyza Sajwani on the Role of Pharmacy in Addressing the Climate Crisis at COP-30
ALLATRAIn this COP-30 interview, the ALLATRA International Public Movement speaks with Shellyza Sajwani — a pharmacist and expert in climate health, global health, and oncology. Shellyza works at the intersection of pharmacy, sustainable development, and the climate agenda, promoting an evidence-based approach to reducing emissions in healthcare and increasing its resilience to climate risks. She discusses her mission at COP-30, where she represents the Canadian Association of Pharmacy for the Environment (CAPhE), strengthens interdisciplinary partnerships, and contributes to integrating healthcare into global climate policy. She places special emphasis on the importance of recognizing that the climate crisis directly impacts human health — from cardiovascular diseases to mental health and access to essential medications. Shellyza explains that pharmacists and pharmacies are among the most accessible healthcare providers in the world, and therefore can play a key role in raising public awareness. She provides examples of CAPhE’s work and Canadian professional pharmacy associations that help train professionals on how to communicate with the public about emission reduction, climate adaptation, emergency preparedness, reducing drug waste, and rational medication use. Regarding her personal motivation, Shellyza shares that she came to climate health through many years of experience in global health and her own life journey. As a cancer survivor, she experienced a moment during her treatment in Ottawa when the city was hit by several tornadoes. This made her consider, for the first time, how climate events can affect access to treatment and patient health in general. This experience became a turning point and strengthened her sense of professional responsibility. Shellyza’s biography includes numerous significant achievements. She earned an MPharm from Aston University (UK), a PharmD from the University of Toronto, a Climate Change and Health certification from Yale University, and a Global Health Delivery certification from Harvard University. In 2023, she co-chaired the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) policy committee, which developed and approved the world’s first international pharmacy climate policy. This policy was sent to over 100 countries, representing four million pharmacy professionals. Today, she is the co-founder and President of Climaceutics Health Solutions, working on climate risk assessment and emission reduction in the pharmacy sector. She has previously held leadership positions in Pharmacists Without Borders Canada and PSF International, participated in global health programs, and worked for many years as an oncology pharmacist at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center. For her contributions to advancing pharmacy practice, Shellyza received the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Olivier Bugnon Award (2023) — a prestigious award given to one mid-career pharmacy professional worldwide every three years. The interview demonstrates Shellyza’s deeply humanistic approach: understanding that caring for human health is impossible without addressing the climate crisis. She emphasizes the importance of global collaboration, the integration of scientific disciplines, and the active role of every individual, as both a professional and a global citizen, in creating a future where health and well-being remain central values. Indigenous Representatives From Brazil Share Powerful Messages At COP-30
ALLATRAMaria Adriana Cordeiro de Melo is a representative of the Xukuru do Ororubá people from northeastern Brazil, in the Caatinga biome. She serves as an Indigenous diplomat within the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples. In her remarks at COP-30, Maria Adriana spoke about the deep relationship Indigenous peoples have with Mother Earth, the importance of land, water, and nature for their communities, and the urgent need to protect traditional territories. Sol Tupinambá is a representative of the Tupinambá de Olivença people from the state of Bahia, Brazil. She lives in her home village and participates in the federal Kuntari Katu program, which prepares Indigenous leaders for international policy work. At COP-30, Sol Tupinambá emphasized the need for land demarcation and highlighted the crucial role of Indigenous peoples in addressing climate change. In this inspiring interview, Indigenous leaders from Brazil raise their voices at COP-30, which this year is taking place in the very heart of the Amazon. The Amazon rainforest is the lungs of the planet, the Earth’s largest ecosystem, and the state of this forest directly influences the climate of the entire world. That is why holding the conference in the Amazon carries special significance. Here, alongside those who live in harmony with nature and feel its pulse every day, the signals of global change are heard with particular clarity. Indigenous peoples, who have defended their lands and the environment for centuries, warn the world about the severe consequences of ecosystem destruction: deforestation, mining, river pollution, and the loss of biodiversity. They emphasize that the destruction of the Amazon means the destruction of the foundation of life for all humanity. This video is a powerful reminder that the voices of Indigenous peoples cannot be ignored. Their knowledge of nature, their experience in protecting ecosystems, and their warnings about the changes ahead must be heard by all nations. While there is still time, the world must take this message seriously and act together. Official website of the ALLATRA International Public Movement: https://allatra.org/46 views -
