Welcome to my first play of Dave the Diver! This one charmed me with the graphics. The marketing worked. Let's dig in and see what it's all about. We go through a couple dives and a couple nights running the restaurant. We are introduced to ecology collections and gunsmithing. This time we get serious about diving. I derp out and miss how the hush dart gun works, but really we get a better tranq gun later anyway. In the afternoon dive we start the first quest in the Dolphin saga. We will be helping them out in the future. At night we meet Miss Yoshie. This time we take a few more dives and get a few upgrades. We are introduced to the ecowatchers and the first villain. A squid with an eye the size of a bathysphere. I upgrade our Cooksta prematurely, not realizing it increases operating costs and customer count faster than I am ready to accommodate. I should have spent more time hiring staff. Not a huge deal, but this will slow progress for a while. This time we do a bunch of average shallow dives while I grind out low value fish. I don't realize the difference between upgraded fish is not equivalent to the difference between grades of fish. This time we have our first party night. I am woefully understaffed for it. We are introduced to steel nets and Tuna fishing. We crack open the sealed cave and see a Sea People mural. Then we meet the villain. This time we see a mermaid kidnapped by that leviathan squid. Duff tasks us with saving his anime figure. This time we impress our VIP Vincent. He loves Bancho's non traditional styles and gifts us a beer tap. This is not the last we will see of Vincent. Then we finally crack into the downed ship where a confrontation with the Leviathan Squid awaits. After a boss battle we save the damsel (both of them). This time we are attacked by John Watson. He's a total lunatic and we don't even have a gun, but we kick his butt. Then delving deeper in search of the signal we have a long brawl with tiger shark before I am chased off. I just can't bring enough pain to bear to take him out. We encounter the sea people and they need help. Then we spend quite a while exploring the depths. That evening we meet Otto.
