Arriving at the train station, Special Week learns that she got off the wrong stop. The conductor there suggests that she take a look around the race track. Recalling mother telling her to be at the academy by 6:00pm and not to be late, Special Week decides to go there. Although warned that the race track is at a far distance from where they're at, Special Week details that she loves running. At the race track, where the Twinkle Series is held, Special Week is amazed by all of the food stalls there and is left speechless by the race track. From there Special Week watches as Silence Suzuka is introduced and her legs are groped by a male pervert. Briskly dealing with the pervert, Special Week is then asked a series of questions by the man, but refuses to answer any of his questions and leaves the scene. The host to the next race Akasaka introduces herself and her analyzer Junko Hosoe. As Special Week waits for the race to begin, the pervert approaches Special Week again. They then briefly talk about the promise Special Week made to her mother to become the best race horse in Japan, before the race begins. Suzuka takes a far lead at the start of the race and the pervert notes how Suzuka followed his advice, while her personal trainer Hana Toujou notes how she didn't follow hers. In the end, however, Suzuka wins the race. Awe-stricken by Silence's win, Special Week's legs are once again felt by the pervert and he's dealt with again by Special Week. Right as Special Week was going to walk away, the pervert suggests that Special Week stay and watch Suzuka on stage for what's called the "Winning Concert". Later that night, the Winning Concert takes place on a big stage in front of a massive audience, with Suzuka taking the front stage. Although mesmerized by the performance by Suzuka, Special Week recalls her curfew and rushes to the Academy at top speed, and once she arrives there bangs at the door pleading to be let in. The next morning, Secretary of the Chairman at Tracen Academy, Tazuna Hayakawa guides Special Week to her class as she laments her tardiness the night before. Thankfully, Special Week is let in by another student named Fuji Kiseki. At the classroom, Special Week tries to not make a fool out of herself when she introduces herself. However, she fails by stammering her words, followed by tripping and falling on the ground. Another student by the name of Haru Urara extends her hand to help Special Week up and then introduces herself and another student named Seiun Sky. Two more students by the names of El Condor Pasa and Grass Wonder then approach Special Week and are introduced by Haru. After the brief introduction with each other, Haru leaves the classroom once the bell rings. Soon the homeroom teacher gives a lecture pertaining to the rank system in the school. During lunch, Special Week eats at the same table as Grass, Seiun Sky, and El Condor Pasa where they discuss Special Week 's background and her reason for transferring to the academy. When asked what team Special wants to be on, she replies that she'd like to be on the same team as Suzuka. Grass then details that there's an entry test for the team she's on and Seiun Sky states that Grass is on the same team as Suzuka. El Condor Pasa then states that she wants to be on the team too as Team Rigil is the best team. She further states that Special Week and her will be rivals as there's only one open position for the audition. That afternoon at the school race track, Special Week and Haru attend the entry test. After registering, the Rigil Trainer Hana asks the applicants their goals, and when it's Special Week's turn, she answers her goal is to be the best horse girl in Japan. This response makes most of the applicants chuckle, making Special Week look flush. Unbeknownst to Special Week the pervert, with a pair of binoculars observes her from afar. The race later begins where Special Week makes a late start, but manages to catch up. As the race goes on, Air talks with Grass about the applicants, mainly El Condor Pasa and Special Week. Seeing Suzuka from the sidelines gives Special Week a power boost and has her neck to neck with the person in the lead. Making it past the goal line, Special Week believes she got first place, but as it turns out El Condor Pasa is the one who got first place and is accepted into team Rigil. Afterward, Special Week parts ways with Haru by the entrance of the academy, she then bumps into a trio of masked horse girl assailants whom capture her. They take her to the Team Spica base where the pervert she encountered the day before is introduced as Trainer and is informed that she has been recruited into their team. As it turns out, Suzuka also recently transferred from her former team Rigil to Team Spica because her former team didn't understand her running skill. Trainer then chimes in recalling Special Week's dream and the horse girls of Team Spica state their own dreams and Suzuka's dream is to help people's dream come true. Stating how they didn't laugh at her dream, Special Week proclaims she'll do her best for the team. After Special Week introduced herself, Trainer announces that next week, Special Week will make her debut.

This episode title is know as the 'The Debut Race out of Nowhere' Summary: Special Week is told by Trainer that she'll make her race debut next week, who is then reprimanded by the other Team Spica members. Now dark out, Special Week and Silence Suzuka walk together and briefly talk with each other until they reach the dormitory area. There they're greeted by Fuji Kiseki who informs Special Week that not only is her room ready, but as it so turns out, her roommate is Suzuka. In their room, an elated Special Week drafts a letter to her mom, but stops mid-way to cordially detail her appreciation and how her hopes to work well with her to Suzuka. Special Week has a dream about racing a small bird when she was a child until she's awoken by Suzuka informing her she'll be late for class. Panic stricken, Special Week gets dressed and rushes to the academy. During class, Seiun Sky and El Condor Pasa correctly answer the questions asked to them by their homeroom teacher, while Special Week struggles to take notes. After the class, Air Groove informs Special Week that the student council president wants to speak with her. In the student council office, Symboli Rudolf introduces herself and the two talk about various subjects including the academy, Special Week's background and mother, as well as how Symboli's debut race went. To give Special Week a better understanding of her school environment, Symboli assigns Tokai Teio give her a tour of the place. Before Special leaves, Symboli points out a framed quote that says "Eclipse first, the rest nowhere" and asks her if she understands it as it's the school motto. Unfortunately, Special doesn't understand it, but Symboli doesn't hold it against her. That settled with, Special Week leaves the office as Symboli reflects on the meeting of the motto. The first place the two visit for their tour of the school is the library and then the pool area. Outside of the academy they talk about Special Week's goal and her opinions on the student council president. Teio holds the president in high regards detailing how she wants to become just like her one day. Special Week recalls her own dream to be like Suzuku, which inspires her to earnestly try her best in preparation for her debut race. Later, Trainer has Special Week and Vodka play a game of Twister as it helps them build flexibility and endurance. The following day, the contestants to Special Week's debut race is released. Although her friends are excited for her, Special Week is anxious. By dusk, Special Week diligently trains with her team. Back at the dorms, an exhausted Special Week heads back to her room, while Fuji requests a favor from Suzuka concerning Special Week. What Fuji asks of Suzuka is to look after Special Week in the dorms. Fuji's reason for her request is because of Special Week's unique background living with no other horse girls where she was from. Accepting the task, Suzuka finds Special Week sleeping on her desk seeing that she fell asleep while trying to write a letter to her mother. Eventually, Team Spica discuss the plan for their debut race and Special Week is told to simply run to her heart's content. Hearing this advice has Special Week feel unsettled and it's shown when she's in her room performing maintenance on her shoes. Recalling Fuji's request, Suzuka asks Special Week is something wrong, to which, she brushes off. However, Suzuka has a heart to heart with Special Week concerning her dream and during this it's revealed that Special Week has two mothers. One who died sometime after giving birth to her and the other who raised and trained her to be the best race horse in Japan. On the day of the debut race, Special Week messes up her introduction by falling down on stage. Conveniently noting how he "Forgot" to give Special Week her race bib, Trainer has Suzuka deliver it to her. In the tunnel that leads to the race track, Suzuka meets and gives Special Week her race bib, while also giving her some inspirational advice. Moved by the words of encouragement, Special Week thanks Suzuka and runs off to the tracks. During the race, Special Week makes it to 5th, but is soon surpassed by Queen Berry who tries to fling dirt at Special Week, who deftly dodges the oncoming piles. Reaching the fourth corner of the track, Queen Berry takes the lead only to get into a neck to neck race with Special Week. At the finish line, Special Week manages to win the race. After the race, Trainer briefly talks with Hana about Special Week and Suzuka. That night, Special Week along with Queen Berry and Bamboo Memory perform the winning concert.

This episode is known as 'First Big Win' Summary: News of Special Week winning the debut race makes the papers, but also an embarrassing note of how she froze during the winning concert. The members of Team Spica all win the races they perform in and in their team base are praised for their race efforts by Trainer. On the other hand, Trainer states his disappointment with their performances for their Winning Concerts. So as practice for their winning concert performances, Trainer treats the team to karaoke. At the karaoke place, the team see Teio performs her karaoke magic and are then informed that Trainer invited her there to teach them how to sing and dance. Teio also states that the council president, Symboli ordered her to do it so the academy doesn't lose face. Didactically, Teio trains the team each of whom fail or perform in their own way. Later at dusk, the group walk back to the academy and Trainer declares that Special become the Triple Crown Girl as she's the only one who can accomplish it. Trainer further states that in order to accomplish her dream, Special has to become the Triple Crown Girl. The next day at class, Special is notably tired due to the stress and anxiety for her next race. Special is consoled by Grass who recently injured her leg and Seiun who states how she's not doing so well as of late. Grass then details that Seiun won her last two races and that King Halo had won her last three since their debuts. Flustered, Special states her resolve to win her upcoming races. Eventually, Trainer reviews over the upcoming major race, the Yayoishou to Special and that Seiun is the one she should be most wary of. During the race, Seiun takes an early lead, but in the end is surpassed by Special who wins the race. That night, Team Spica hold a victory party for Special who indulges too much on the food and Teio who was also there announces that she's formally joining the team. This announcement surprises everyone and a brief flashback is shown where Teio informs Symboli about her decision. At that time, Air visits the student council room and enjoys a drink with Symboli. From there on out, Team Spica do various training exercises and soon the racers to the Satsukishou race is announced. In the faculty room, Trainer tries to start a conversation with Hana about the next big race. To which, Hana asks why Trainer returned and he answers it's because of his dream noting laissez-faire. Hana then warns Trainer that her next race will be tough for her, but Trainer states that regardless of how she does, it's how she handles it is what matters. While Special happily reads the letter from her mom, Suzuka asks her about what her mom wrote. Special states that her mom wants to attend one of her races. However, she won't hold it against her if she's unable due to the cost she'll have to spend to see her. Suzuka then gives Special her mended shoes and wishes her the best of luck on her next race. The day before the Satsukishou race, Trainer goes over the details and gives Special a special ordered uniform for the occasion. After getting dressed into the uniform, Special hides the fact that she can't zipper up the backside of her skirt. On the day of the race, Special tries to hide the unzipped zipper during her introduction. Before the race starts, Special notes her anxiety about her zipper, but states her confidence in being able to win. However, in that race Special only makes 3rd, while Seiun makes first and King Halo 2nd. That night, Suzuka and Special walk together and Special states her resolve to try harder next time around not caring that she lost. Midway, Special parts ways with Suzuka saying that she forgot something. Concerned about Special, Suzuka follows Special and discreetly watches Special as she screams her lament into a hallow tree trunk. Soon, Trainer appears before Special and screams his own lament into the trunk. Once he's finished, Trainer suggests that Special use the frustration of her loss to motivate her to beat Seiun in the Japanese derby race.

This episode is known as 'Special Training' Summary: Special Week and Silence Suzuka spend time together as Special's inner monologue describes her lament to her mother of how she lost in her last race. However, she's resolve to win the next one she partakes in. When Special weighs herself in the bathroom, she's shocked by the results. At dawn, Special does some jogging training by a river bank and during it, gets startled by a barking poodle being walked by its master. Its owner apologizes for its poodle's behavior and tries to offer Special a carrot, however, she refuses it and rushes off. Later in the day at lunch, Special enjoys lunch with her friends at a table in the cafeteria and they talk about the upcoming derby. Amid the discussion, Haru appears in the cafeteria having returned from Kouchi. She elaborates her experience in Kouchi and gives each of her friends a special souvenir from her trip. Haru was a popular racer even though she placed in 5th during the race. After a brief talk with Seiun, Special asks what race El Condor will race in. It's then that a commercial about El Condor airs on the tv noting her racing winning streak and announcing her next race the NHK Mile Cup. Around dusk, Team Spica perform jogging exercises in the park and take a break by some benches. A takiyaki food truck is spotted in the park and Trainer treats the girls to some takiyaki, all except Special who reveals that she's on a diet. This is because of an incident involving her clothes in the Satsukishou race. Trainer knew about it deducing that Special gained *censored* amount of kilos. Surprised by Trainer's astute deductions, he informs Special of the positive facts of overeating which helps build strength and muscle. In light of this, her team offer to help Special with her diet and then continue with their jogging. Suzuka who stays with Trainer is informed by him that she'll be racing in the Tennounshou, but before that she'll race in the Mainichi Okan as well as the Takarazuka Kinen. To all of that, Suzuku sounding completely uninterested agrees to all of it. In a letter written to her mother how she's doing special training with her team. Part of Daiwa's training is going on a strict diet, Vodka's involves arduous exercises, and Gold involves doing a high dive in the pool area. Although hesitant to do this, a smart remark from Seiun gives Special the courage to make the dive. At the faculty lounge, Trainer reviews a video of the race that Special lost to Seiun in and spots something. Eventually, Trainer visits Hana as she monitors Team Rigil's practice and gives her a letter of challenge to a mock race with Taiki Shuttle against Special. After reviewing Special's analytical data, Hana accepts the challenge. The announcement is formally made to Team Spica in their base. Although everyone is happy about it, Suzuku voices her opposition to the race as she believes Special will hate running if she loses. Despite Suzuka's opposition, Special still wants to race in it and Suzuka understands. On the day of the mock race, Special tries her hardest to win the race, making it neck to neck with Taiki, but falls inches short of winning. The two racers bond a bit after the race and Taiki is impressed by how cute Special was with her. Special is then embraced by her teammates and they later watch the TV as El Condor wins the NHK Mile Cup. In her winning speech, El Condor openly calls out Special who looks forward to their race together and Special announces she'll win that race against El Condor.

This episode is known as 'The Debry with Rivals' Summary: Interviews with the press of El Condor, Seiun Sky, and Special Week are held, each with their respective trainers. With Trainer, Special runs up a steep set of stairs as part of her training, while her teammates are all exhausted from doing it themselves. Special's time is 42.8 seconds, but Trainer wanted her time to be 40 seconds at max and after Trainer coaxes Special to try harder, she takes the bait and prepares herself to try again. Elsewhere, Seiun is seen running swiftly past a group of jogging horse girls and El Condor is just finishing up her own training with her Team Rigil. At the cafeteria, Grass sits with Special, El Condor, and Seiun who appear on the front cover of a racing magazine that she has. They're then joined by Maruzensky who gives some valuable advice to the girls about how luck is essential in winning a race. El Condor and Seiun note their recent luck, however, Special accidentally spills water onto Maruzensky and apologizes to her. Taking no offense to the accident, Maruzensky states how she's glad Special's glass didn't break and walks off. Meanwhile, Teio tries to recruit Mejiro McQueen to Team Spica, detailing that Gold will pile driver her if Mejiro refuses. It's revealed that Gold has been stalking Mejiro as of late with each encounter resulting in Gold hurting her left eye. Afterward at dusk by the temple with the steep set of stairs, Team Spica complete another round of training together. As the night falls, Special and Suzuka have a heart to heart with each, while Hana instructs El Condor about their game plan for the upcoming race. Eventually, Mejiro attends a Team Spica's training, although Gold is disheartened to learn that she won't immediately join their team. Suzuka and Special then race each other to the top of the stairs. In the end, Suzuka manages to win, but the two of them manage to break the 40 second record. This information, however, is withheld from Special as when she asks Trainer what her time was, he lies claiming he forgot to start the timer. The day of the Japanese Derby arrives and in the tunnel way that leads to the racetrack. Special meets with her teammates along with Mejiro and is given a 4-leaf clover charm by them to give her the best of luck during the race. El Condor is also approached by her teammate Symboli who gives her some supportive advice and wishes her the best of luck in the race. During the race, Seiun manages to maintain a good pace, however, midway she's surpassed by Special who then catches up to El Condor and in the end the race is one by the both of them. Afterward, Hana congratulates Trainer for their shared victory, but proclaims next time she'll win for real and Trainer tells her to bring it on. Down at the tracks, El Condor approaches Special and thanks her as it was the funnest race she's ever had thus far. Moved by this, Special thanks El Condor and embraces her.

This episode is known as 'Autumn Skies and Horse Girls'. Summary: Special writes to her mother about the Takarazuka Kinen race, where Suzuka beat Air. Also, Mejiro McQueen formally joins Team Spica and they all go on a beach trip. The following day is a special event known as the Fall Twinkle Series Fan Festival an event that Suzuka is looking forward to attending. On the day of the event, everyone in Team Spica goes their separate ways. Teio visits Symboli at a cafe, Meijiro has her fortune told, and Special along with Suzuka enjoy the festival together and run into a couple of fans of Suzuka. They then walk over to where an eating contest is being held with the prize being a large stuffed donut. By the end of the match a deliberation is held due to suspected cheating. As it turns out, one of the contestants, Super Creek furtively gave half of her remaining donuts to renown big eater, Oguri Cap. Because of this Oguri wins the contest, although she gives the prize to Tamamo Cross, because she actually wanted it and Oguri simply wanted to eat some food. At around dusk, Special and Suzuka sit and eat cake with Grass and El Condor. They talk about how Grass' comeback race is the Mainichi Okan where she'll race against Suzuka who also reveals that she's considering racing overseas. This inspires El Condor to join in the race too, Special wants to join as well, however, she has another race that conflicts with it. The group is then joined by the rest of Team Spica who all had an eventful time at the festival. That night, Special and Suzuka have a heart to hear about how thankful Suzuka was for meeting Special and joining Team Spica. When Suzuka is finished, fireworks are set off and the two enjoy watching them go off. Sometime later, Grass does training around the track and is reprimanded by her trainer Hana not following her plan. Although Grass wants to win the Mainichi Okan race, Hana tries to dissuade Grass from taking that race seriously and solely focus on winning a G-1 race. Afterward, Trainer meets with Hana at a bar and is informed about Hana's concern for Grass. They then briefly talk about Team Spica and finally Trainer asks to Hana to pay for his drink, which makes Hana sigh a deep sigh. In their dorm room, Special watches as Suzuka practices for the upcoming race. The day of the Manichi Okan race arrives and Suzuka takes the lead at the start of the race while Grass is dead last, but manages to get to third behind El Condor in 2nd and Suzuka in 1st. Suzuka wins in the end, leaving El Condor mortified over her first loss and Grass is embraced by Hana who says she will peak in the next G-1 race.

This episode is known as 'Promise' Summary: Suzuka welcome back Special who is morose for losing her last race. Special laments by binge eating Yatsuhashi and recalling how Seiun beat her in the last race and offers some of her food to Suzuka, who politely declines. She's preparing for the Tennoushou race that's next week, wanting to race Suzuka for once, Special asks when the next time Suzuka will race and notices on her calendar it's the Japan Cup. Stating her desire to participate in it, Suzuka states that Special will have to talk with Trainer about it and states her interest in racing Special before she leaves for America. Hearing this news shocks Special. By the academy gates, Trainer in a van gives his team a obscure drawing of a map that leads to an inn they'll be staying at. Stating that the time is currently 3 P.M., Trainer warns that if those who don't make it to the inn by 6 P.M. will get no dinner. Trainer then drives off and after a brief lament over their predicament, Suzuka snatches the map from Gold and runs off with her teammates close on her tail. Elsewhere, Hana watches as Opera practices on the race track while the rest of Team Rigil do stretches on the sidelines. Grass approaches Maruzensky and requests that they do a training race together and Maruzensky accepts the request. Doing some stretches together, Air talks with El Condor who states how Air beat Suzuka in the Tennoushou race last year. Air admits that's true but is saddened by losing her last race against Suzuka noting how better her rival has become since then. Hishi states that she'll beat Suzuka hands down, Hana also chimes in stating to not under estimate Suzuka since she's joined Team Spica. Hana elaborates how Suzuka now doesn't hold back in her races giving it her all as if she's racing in a timed trial and advises that Hishi follow Suzuka's example by giving it her all in her next race. This advice fires up Hishi who goes to do some practice laps and is then joined by El Condor who doesn't want to besmirch her team's pride with more losses. Meanwhile, at nightfall, the exhausted Team Spica make it to the inn where they meet up with Trainer who greets the group outside the inn's entrance. Trainer then tells the group to take a bath to wash off the sweat they're drowning in, but before that, Mejiro apprehensively reprimands Trainer for the tormenting exercise. After the team take their baths, Suzuka formally announces that she'll be leaving for America after the Japan Cup. Each teammate states how they'll miss Suzuka, aside from Special who listens to it all in the sidelines. During their dinner, Special requests Trainer that she be added to the Japan Cup Roster. Although stating his disapproval from having one person from his team lose in the race, Trainer allows Special's request so long as Suzuka wins her next upcoming race. This news sparks the rest of the team's interest to race against Suzuka and sparks a big debate on who'll race against Suzuka. Driving the girls home, Trainer scornfully states how he lost 2 months worth of salary to Suzuka who chuckles and notes how great a team Spica is. The rest of the team sleep peacefully in the back noting they can't eat any more. The day of the Tennoushou race has arrived and Suzuka is a fan favorite with all of her merchandise being sold out. While walking down the tunnel way that leads into the raceway, one of Suzuka's shoe straps become snap off and as she fixes it, her competitors pass by her. Before the races start, Suzuka talks with her teammates and Special gives her the same 4-leaf clover charm she received in her Japanese Derby race. At the starting line, El Condor approaches Suzuka who states her determination to win against her and her plans to partake in the Prix de l'Arc Triomphe thereafter. The race then begins and during it, Suzuka sustains an injury during it and in the end El Condor wins the race, however, her crestfallen attitude denotes she considers her victory a phyrric one. Because of the injury that she sustained during the race, Suzuka is hospitalized and when she finally wakes up, Special who sat by her bed side informs Trainer and the team. When Trainer arrives with the team waiting outside the door, it's learned that Suzuka sustained a fracture. Although she'll heal from her injury, it's unknown whether or not she'll be able to run as fast as before. Hearing this disheartens Suzuka, but Special is adamant that she'll be able to run as fast as she did when she fully recovers. It's then that the rest of the team enter the room and talk with Suzuka and Teio reveals that Special stayed with Suzuka the entire time she was unconscious which embarrasses Special. A flashback also reveals that when Suzuka was in peril on the race tracks, Special along with Trainer following close behind, ran over to Suzuka to try and help her.

This episode is known as 'For You' Summary: Trainer finds Special Week sleeping by Silence Suzuka's bedside. As it so turns out, Special recently got 3rd place in the Japan Cup and the loss had her emotional and humiliated. She was intent on winning for Suzuka, however, to make up for it, Special visited her in the hospital everyday. Expressing her interest to run again, Special awakens proclaiming Suzuka will run again one day, however, Trainer then drags Special out of the room to lecture her about her recent loss. An announcement on the Winter cup is made as is its grand prize, the Dream Trophy, a prize that is only given twice a year. Watching from the hospital break room, Suzuka is visited by Special who shows her the discharge slip she got. Later, the two meet with their Teammates and hold a New Year's party with Trainer paying and sets the entire party up. During the party, they watch the Winter Cup on the TV and in the end, Symboli Rudolf wins the race. Nearly all of the members want to race in the cup, but that's only possible unless you win multiple races in the Twinkle Series. Trainer then gives advice to all of the teammates and finishes off how they'll beat Team Rigil that year. They all then attend a night festival and pray for their individual wishes at a shrine. Time goes on and Suzuka goes to rehab and Special attends with her every time. Gradually, Suzuka recovers and her team win plenty of races. Eventually, Suzuka does a practice lap with her team and keeps up the pace with them. It's detailed by Special that it took Suzuka 9 months and 3 days to recover from her injury to a curious Mejiro. Amid their training, Suzuka and Special are approached by Air Groove who hopes to race her again and is soon joined by Maruzensky. The following day, Grass Wonder does practice laps with her team trainer, Hana. It's stated by Hana to Grass that Special will race in the upcoming Takarazuka Kinen for Team Spica who is a rising star among Grass' generation. Although Grass recently won her last cup, she's still wary of not letting her win get to her head as she considers Special a tough rival. At school, Special is engrossed in reading a book about rehab exercises at home, and is soon approached by Seiun Sky who places a bunch of books atop her head. During lunch, Special apologizes to Seiun and Grass that she can't eat with them and runs off passing by Haru. Late that afternoon, Grass details to Hana about Special's odd behavior as of late, which is, admonished by Hana to focus on trivial matters unrelated to her. That night in their dorm room, Special tends to Suzuka's leg and the two talk about how they can't wait for Suzuka's leg to recover so she can race again. Soon, Team Spica do more training on the practice track and during it, Special sees Suzuka fatigues and rushes to her aid. In Suzuka's words, she's alright and that Special should continue on without her. Just then Trainer enters the scene scolding Special for stopping and telling Suzuka that she shouldn't have stopped. The next day at lunch, Suzuka joins Special, Grass, and Seiun at their table where they read a letter from El Condor from France. Reading the letter makes Suzuka recall her plan to go to America, but is sidelined by Grass who asks her about the condition of her leg. Suzuka details that it doesn't hurt any more and that the rehab has helped her considerably. She goes onto state her frustration about the Mainichi Okan and Special states her hope to race as great as Suzuka in her upcoming race that unnerves Grass a tad. On the day of the Takarazuka Kinen, Grass wins the race and Special gets 2nd 3 horse lengths behind Grass. After the race, Grass approaches a winded Special and states that she gave it her all during that race and wonders if Special did the same. Suzuka watched the race from a tv and later that night Special is met by Trainer by the hollow tree stump. The two talk about her race earlier that day and Trainer imposing onto Special that she win all of her races that fall. Meanwhile, in her dorm, Suzuka takes off the bandage on her leg and goes outside to do some late night jogging.

This episode is known as 'Dreams of Spica' Summary: Special Week is notified by Fuji that she has a call from El Condor. They talk briefly and El Condor asks Special to relay a message to Silence Suzuka that she looks forward to race her again, which irks Special, but promises to relay the message. With his back laid to a wall in front of a hospital, Trainer reflects on how obtuse his team is currently and is soon joined by Suzuku. The two then walk home and talk about the doctor's report about Suzuka's condition and then about how Suzuka feels how she's holding Special and Trainer back. However, Trainer reassures Suzuka to not worry about such things and Suzuka understands. Soon, Trainer takes Team Spica to a hotel by the beach side and also the members of Team Rigil are spotted there as well. Figuring they'll be staying in the same hotel, Trainer enlightens the group that they'll be staying in a dilapidated motel adjacent to the fancy hotel. Inside the motel, the girls learn that they'll be split into two teams and will be staying in separate rooms in accordance to their teams. Later Trainer announces that for the summer they'll be split into two teams and the theme of the training is "No Being Friends". The purpose it all is to keep them focused on their training and that on the final day a match will be held. Outside of the motel, Team A talk about the theme of the training and then do some jogging, while Team B practice with Trainer. Suzuka's condition is brought up and Suzuka states that she's fine for the most part. That night, El Condor gets in contact via video call with her trainer Hana and teammate Symboli Rudolf who relay's Suzuka's message. They then discuss El Condor's encounter with the best race horse in France Broye, who signed her French learning book. Symboli then asks El Condor to have Broye to sign something for her as well and El Condor agrees. The following day, Team A trains under Trainer's supervision and Special is notably slower than usual as she has Suzuka on her mind. Trainer is then approached by Suzuka and the two talk at the motel about her inability to run full speed. It's noted to be a mental thing by Trainer after hearing Suzuka doesn't want to hurt herself again. Meanwhile, Team A gamble together and the following afternoon, Team B's training is supervised by Trainer and Suzuka is notably a lackluster. The next day, at morning, by the beach, Trainer announces that a triathlon between the two teams will be held. It ensues that both teams must swim to a nearby island, take a lap on a bicycle, and finally run to the goal at the bottom. Upon learning this, the teams try to bail, but get roped into doing after hearing that the winner will receive a Dessert Voucher. Ignited by the thought of winning the voucher, the two teams start swimming to the island. Eventually, the teams start the bike ride across the island and during it Suzuka falls off her bike and Special tries to help her. Trainer then approaches the two and scolds Special for trying to help and Suzuka for not trying hard enough. This motivates the two to continue and in the final part of the triathlon, the two teams are unable to slow down while running down a steep slope. The end result is both teams crash into the water and Trainer amused by the situation allows the win to go to both teams. At the fancy hotel, the teams talk together and after Special states her dream to race against Suzuka, Trainer proclaims that he wants to see them all race against each other one day. Later that night, Team Spica and Rigil watch El Condor's race against Broye and although she's favored to win, she ultimately loses against her opponent. Back at school, Special is approached by Symboli who hands her smartphone to Special with El Condor on the line. The two talk about El Condor's recent loss in the race, although she puts up a happy front at first as the conversation goes on, El Condor starts to get emotional. This motivates, Special to do some late night training and is joined by Suzuka.

This episode is known as 'No matter how many times I lose' Summary: Special Week is shown to take her training far more earnestly and with assiduousness. Eventually, Trainer gives Team Spica some pep talk and states that Special should be ready for her upcoming race, the Kyoto Daishoten. When the day arrives for said race and although she's resolved to win, she places in 7th, leaving her flustered and heart broken. El Condor returns to the academy from France and is greeted by her teammates. El Condor then visits Special during her training with her team. Perhaps unintentionally, El Condor speaks disparagingly about Special's recent race flop and is then dragged away by Grass Wonder. Trainer then chimes in and tries to motivate Special for the upcoming Tennoushou race and the sequential Japan Cup race. Wanting the team to take a rest before their next race, Trainer suggests that Special go home for the time being. Back in her home town, Special is picked up by her mom and the two drive home together. En route, her mother imposes a running moratorium for Special. Elsewhere, Mejiro McQueen enjoys lunch with her siblings, Mejiro Dober and Mejiro Ryan, Tokai does karoke with Symboli, and Vodka and Daiwa go on a shopping trip. During this trip, the two spot racers Narita Brian and Biwa Hayahide; they then eavesdrop on their conversation. Meanwhile, Suzuka trains on the racetrack while Gold Ship, keeps track of her time. Just then, a winded Trainer arrives at the scene to inform the two about the Open Special that he wants Suzuku to take part in as her come back race. Although it hasn't been officially announced yet, Trainer asks to keep it under-wraps, however, Gold zips off frantically while "promising" to stay mums about it. At home, Special is tied to a post and when dinner is about to be served, she finds a stack of letters that she sent her, as well as, a journal of all of the races she partook in. After a brief talk with each other, they try to enjoy dinner, however, Special is held back by the rope she's tied too. Suzuka contacts Special about her upcoming race in the Open Special, which takes place the day before Special's Japan Cup race. The other members of Team Spica are shown to have won their own respective races too. That night, under the stars, Special is gifted a horse shoe by her mother that she crafted with the engravings, "Be the best in Japan". They then have a heart to heart together and Special is allowed to run in the nearby field. Returning to school, Team Spica meet in their base, and help train Special for her upcoming race. Afterward, in the dorms, Special shows Suzuku her new horseshoe and they then talk about how Special wants to make everyone happy. Special also states her resolve to beat Suzuka in a race, to which, Suzuka recites her dream to give something everyone in the world to dream of. Once her dream is realized, Suzuku and Special then promise to settle their rivalry together. On the day of the Tennoushou race, Team Spica aside from Suzuka watch from the audience. The race then begins and Special wins by a large margin this time around.
