These are videos of me using my top load washer. We use it mostly for things like tablecloths, rags and things we don't want to do in our newer front load washer. We usually refer to it as our "grunge washer."

Rinsing Out Old Washing Machine After Load-Date: 12/6/2020
Washer & Dryer HowToI ran a cycle to rinse out the tub of the old washer after completing a load of tablecloths. When I finish a wash cycle, I always finish by running a cycle empty to rinse out any left over soap and residue that may be left in the washer. I do this with all of my washers. I don't do it after each load. I do it when I complete the last load of wash. It's easier to run a cycle to rinse the tub out while the stuff is still moist instead of after everything dries out because it is that much harder to get rid of. I don't really use this washer very often because I do 85%-90% on my laundry in the front load washer. This washer used to be our main washer. Now we only use it to wash grunge type laundry such as rags, bathroom and kitchen rugs and other such items I don't want to put into my good washer. Using My Old Top Load Washer-Date: 12/6/2020
Washer & Dryer HowToAs promised, I made a video of me washing some tablecloths and kitchen rags and such in my old top load washing machine. I prefer to wash things like tablecloths, napkins and things like this in the old washer because I don't want things like crumbs and possible grease and other grime to end up in my new washer yet. Plus it saves ware and tear on the new washer because I'm not as worried about washing stuff like this in the old washer. This washer is as basic as it gets. It is over 10 years old. It has only 1 knob to make it run. Unlike other washers, it has no separate control for the water temperature and water level. It has 1 water level which is full. You can get different water temperatures depending on where you put the knob for the main wash cycle. Ex-Heavy uses hot water. Normal is warm water. And Light is cold water. This washer used to do laundry for 7 people. There was me, my wife, 4 girls and a friend who moved out a few years ago. My 4 girls are all grown up and moved out. This washer just wasn't doing a good job which is why we got the new one. I'm going to keep using this one for grunge until it quits completely. I'm not one to just throw something like this away. But we couldn't have this washer keep ruining our clothes. Warning: Please don't do what I did. I used a screw to hold the button that keeps the washer from running when the lid is up down so you can see how the washer works. Please don't do this yourself if you don't know what you are doing because someone could get hurt. I am not responsible for any damage or injury if you try this yourself.3 views
