CA Empty Nesters in Texas

It was a wild weekend with stormy weather so we stayed in and binge watched the final season of Cobra Kai. In between storms Dave rode his bike and saw a snake in the water! Boochie the bunny came over for dinner but didn’t like the Romaine lettuce we offered. We got ready for the storm by getting the car washed, then covering it up with a hail protection cover. We also gave the dogs a bath so we can apply flea and tick medication. I also share my Chicken Adobo shortcut recipe on a turbo broiler. About us: Hello we are Marge and Dave! Enjoying the cooler weather in Texas, we we started the weekend off walking to our new dentist’s office for a surprisingly enjoyable appointment. The clinic is located in our neighborhood a short stroll away. Once inside, we were treated to a massage chair, a massage eye mask and relaxing music. For once, we actually enjoyed going to the Dentist! After that we celebrated by getting sushi at the Tokyo Samurai Japanese restaurant in Bartonville. Our friends started a new soy sauce business Kioke Reserve, so we brought some with us to use and the sauce was delicious. The next day we returned to Galaxy Nail Spa in the town of Roanoke for relaxing spa pedicures. We enjoyed getting pampered and loved the massage chairs. Later that day we have beer and brats at our neighborhood Oktoberfest. They had music games, a photo booth and of course beer and wine. We got to meet more neighbors and had fun.
