Property Tours and projects on the Homestead

This is just a short update of the progress I've made toward a small 1/2 acre homestead.

Another short video update. Adding activated Biochar to an existing raised bed orchard.

Today, and for at least the week to come, I am screening the mulch where the chickens have spent most of the last year. The GOAL is to make a few growing beds for the veggies this year. I've got a lot started, and now they're ready to get into the soil.

Today I am doing maintenance in my small orchard. I show a quick video of thinning out fruit on my plum and peach trees.

Today I'm upgrading the roof of my temporary "Bunny Barn" from a heavy duty tarp, to a pond liner. the tarp has broken down over time to the point where it's allowing rain to seep through it. I purchased a pond liner to cover most of the bunny barn it's a grommet kit to install grommets so that I could wire tie the pond liner in place. hopefully this will get me many years of waterproofing underneath.

Chofu stove wood fired hot tub first run.

this was a short video I did mid-project while building out an IBC tote wood fired hot tub.

while pruning an ever bearing mulberry tree, I took cuttings and made a fence line with them. this will eventually grow into a living fence along the edge of my property. The fence will hopefully act as a barrier to deer entering, as well as provide fodder for my rabbitry, and maybe a few berries for the family.
