Fanny - Hey Bulldog & Ain't That Peculiar - Live - 1972 - 720p
PaulFFA rare early live performance of two cover songs by the all girl band Fanny. First from 1972, we have the song "Hey Bulldog", a Beatles song, and then "Ain't That Peculiar", a Marvin Gaye track. The girls do a brilliant job of both. Resolution increased to 720p. Nickey Barclay - Didn't I - 1976 - Diamond In A Junkyard - Album Track - HD
PaulFFMy favourite track from the only solo release - at least under her Fanny name - from ex Fanny keyboard player and singer Nickey Barclay. Album was released in 1976 and titled "Diamond In A Junkyard", and this is the final track of eleven. Just a lovely song - and I wanted to feature one from her, as very soon after this she completely dropped out of sight - even from her former band members. She has performed since under different names, but as I say, she wants her privacy from modern media madness, so no more details from me. But I did love her music with Fanny, and most of what I have heard since, so hope she is at peace with herself. If anyone wants, I may upload one more track from the album. Enjoy. Millington(Jean & June) - Bird In Flight - 1977 - Ladies On The Stage - Album Track - HD
PaulFFA track from the 1977 album "Ladies On The Stage", from the Millington sisters Jean & June from just a few years after the breakup of Fanny. They hadn't lost any of their magic, and this was a fine album. The track was "Bird In Flight", track nine of the ten the album contained. Three singles were released - this wasn't one - but is probably still the one I like the most. This was the only early album that wasn't named after June Millington only, although three other albums with both sisters names came out between 1993 and 2011. In between June had three solo titles, from 1981 to 1988. Maybe some more to be uploaded soon. Meanwhile, in case you were unaware of the stroke that struck down Jean a few short years ago - a fundraiser page was started to help her out. Fanny - The Greatest All Girl Rock Band Ever That You Never Heard Of - 2022 Documentary Clip - HD
PaulFFA short clip taken from the wonderful documentary - Fanny - The Right To Rock from 2022. Just a great film - this clip has the band performing the song "Cat Fever" on the Kenny Rogers Show. Also has short speaking parts from Kate Pierson from The B52's, Kathy Valentine from The Go Go's and John Sebastian from The Lovin' Spoonful. A marvellous watch throughout, but heartbreaking towards the end to see Jean Millington after suffering a stroke, just as they were about to tour a new album. Has many other stars adding some endorsing words, so may upload some more. Playlist for the band is here: https://rumble.com/playlists/OVozbrgt5Z880 views -
Fanny - Back In My Arms Again - 2016 - Previously Unreleased Track - Mothers Pride Expanded Edition
PaulFFThe track here "Back In My Arms Again", was only released as part of the expanded edition of the album "Mothers Pride" in 2016. The album had an extra seven tracks, mainly demos, plus this track previously unreleased, and a couple of very short extras. Not sure why it didn't make the original album cut, but I think a lovely song anyway. Playlist for the band is here: https://rumble.com/playlists/OVozbrgt5Z824 views
