My Japanese Video Game Collection 098 Lunar Eternal Blue
thecchannelSo, after 15 minutes of watching the intro of this game I can actually do something. (During those 15 minutes I should've watch Japanese school girls dancing in their skirts on the internet.) This is Lunar Eternal Blue, and it is the sequel to Lunar the Silver Star. You play as Hiro and his cat with wings Ruby. You go on an adventure to save the world from darkness once again. You also meet characters and gain allies along the way. Like the first game you gain new spells, items, weapons and armor as you fend off many monsters. I got as far as I can until I had to find some jackass name Rondor or whatever his name was. I spent 30 minutes trying to solve this puzzle, but I gave up. This game blows anyway. So, there you go! The Mega CD was an early CD-ROM based console like the PC-Engine CD-ROM. Between the 2 I like the PC-Engine CD-ROM better because I think it has better games than the Mega CD. The only 2 problems with the Mega CD were that it was just plain too expensive, and the technology was just too advanced it just wasn't the time for it yet. In my whole life I only know 2 people who actually had a Sega CD here in the states and I feel bad for both of them now. One more thing to remember. Mega CD = Mega Sucks!!!!!!295 views -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 097 Star Blade (Mega CD Version)
thecchannelI still remember going to the old galaxy fun center by where I live and I used to play this game all the time. What was special about this arcade game is that you can sit down and shoot down enemies like you're in a real space fighter. So many memoires about that game. But unfortunately I have no memories about this version of Star Blade in fact I don't see the fun in this game at all. The graphics are terrible, half the enemies look like atari 2600 ships, you have limited continues, and this version just plan sucks. I have the playstation version of this game and it is more faithful to the arcade game and it looks way better than this piece of shit.223 views 1 comment -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 096 Shining Force CD
thecchannelI've never played this game before but I'll give it a go. Shining Force CD plays like the first Shining force but in this game you do more on Combat than exploring. (In fact you don't explore at all.) Some areas you have to clear all enemies to proceed to the next battle or defeat a certain enemy. Between each battle you get a chance to save your game, revive a dead character, buy weapons and items, or change your party. It's alright and I like the fact that you don't do a lot of figuring things out and just smack the crap out of enemies. But still Shining Force 2 is way better.288 views -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 095 Night Trap
thecchannelThis is a cult classic to the Mega CD. You basically watch cameras to catch these black guys known as augers and you have to protect these women from being attacked by them. So is this all you do in this game. Yes. At least I got to the good part when the augers got the girl in the bathroom. I tried to save her but I gave up and let them have their way with her. (Plus that would ruin the fun. I say they should've lifted up her dress and show us her panties.)288 views -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 094 Sonic The Hedgehog CD
thecchannelThis is hands down one of the best Sonic games ever made and it's the only good game that ever came out on the Mega CD. It features a fully 2 animated sequences. (Fully animated my ass!!!) The Japanese version has terrific soundtrack (The U.S. version sucks!!!) Sonic discovers a small planet called Little Planet where he must travel through the past, present and future to collect the 7 Time Stones and rescue a pink hedgehog name Amy Rose from the evil Dr.Robotnik and his newest creation... Metal Sonic!!!! The game itself is very popular but some of the stages in this game are confusion and just puzzling as you can see. But somehow, I managed to beat the game without losing any lives which never happens to me before. (I'm happy I recorded it.) but I got the bad ending. If you stayed for the post-credit scene in Sonic The Hedgehog 3 movie you will find both Metal Sonic and Amy Rose. Paramount pictures is working on the 4th movie now.377 views -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 092 Final Fight CD
thecchannelThis one is more faithful to the arcade game than the Super Famicom version. So here is the rundown. Mike Haggar's daughter Jessica is kidnapped by a gang of street thugs. They even show her in her bra but if they show her in her panties then that would be awesome. You play as Mike, Her boyfriend Cody and their friend Guy. (In the Super Famicom version you can only play as Mike or Cody and it's one player only. In this version 2 players can join together.) Is it more or do I noticed that some thugs in this game are from Bare Knuckle? I have to watch this and my Bare Knuckle 2 video and look. Even thought I had the game on easy mode you can still find this game hard and challenging. But unfortunately you get limited continues which sucks. The game is good and all but it should've gave you unlimited continues. One more thing some of these guys return in Street Fighter Zero 2 & 3 which I have Zero 2 and I'll show that one later.374 views 1 comment -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 093 Slipheed
thecchannelFor the Mega CD this is actually a good game. The 3D graphics and technology was amazing back then and this is as close to a 3D game that you could get back in the day. I never played this game before but from first experience I want to say that the game is really good and enjoyable. The only problem with it is that you get 1 life and if you die it's game over and you have to start all over again.278 views -
My Japanese Video Game Collection 091 Lunar The Silver Star
thecchannelHEY!!! YOU STILL DON'T HAVE A MEGA CD? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR NINTENDO TO MAKE ONE? YOU HAVE SEEN THE GAMES, RIGHT? WRONG ANSWER MAN. SHOW'EM!!! Let me tell you about the Mega CD it's a toilet for the Mega Drive. You attach it to the bottom of the Mega Drive like it's taking a dookie. Have you ever seen a robot take a dump before? If you haven't. Yeah,Sure,Whatever! You pop the disc in, and you're go to go. Oh! One more thing it runs off on its own AC adapter so that's 2. Which means you have to plug in both the Mega Drive and The Mega CD. If this thing can't run off on the same power as the Mega Drive, then why can't it be its own system. Then you got the loading time. It's a pain sometimes. I rather watch Japanese schoolgirls twirl their skirts around then wait to do something on the Mega CD. So, if you are going to play the Mega CD grab a Pepsi and be patient. So this is what your basic Mega CD game looks like. There is nothing very special or fancy about it. I'm going to start things off with Lunar The Silver Star. It is completely different than the Silver Star Story Complete on the Playstation. The graphics are okay here but the cutscenes are pretty much the same way as Akumajo Dracula X: Chi No Rondo. In this version you have random encounters in the overworld and in the dungeons. In the Playstation version you can see the enemies and you can encounter them if you like. The Music is different here than on the playstation version. It's alright but the playstation version is much better. So between the two versions the Playstation version is way better than this.315 views
