Genesis Chapters 4 & 5 Cain murders Abel in a religious sacrifice, and God puts a mark on Cain to protect him. Humanity begins to populate the earth, and sin increases. Typology of Cain and Abel is works vs faith-based religion. That without the shedding of innocent blood, there is no forgiveness of sin.
