Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic is a 1983 fantasy comedy novel and the first book in the Discworld series. It introduces the eccentric world of Discworld, a flat planet carried by four elephants standing on the back of a giant turtle named Great A'Tuin. The story follows an incompetent wizard named Rincewind and a naive tourist named Twoflower on their adventures through the Discworld's cities, forests, and mountains.
