This song - Rakim - comes from the Toward The Within live show at the Mayfair Theatre in Santa Monica, California, performed by Dead Can Dance - with Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry providing astonishing vocals. It was the last show at the theatre before it was damaged by an earthquake and had to close indefinitely. This was the first song, and has always been one of my favourites by the band. A wonderful live performance from 1992 of the song - Medicine Show - by Big Audio Dynamite ll. Only Mick Jones survives from the original BAD lineup, but this is just an epic version for me, with great live energy and sound. Another great song taken from the live performance by Richard Marx and his band at Cologne Music Hall in May 1992. This is "Take This Heart", beautifully sung with lovely instrumentation. This is the band "Queensrÿche", with their fabulous song "Silent Lucidity", performed live. It is taken from the Building Empires DVD released in 2002, although the VHS version came out many years earlier - in 1992 I think. Wonderful atmospheric track anyway, with Geoff Tate in great voice.
