Jane Marple or Miss Marple is a fictional character created by British crime writer Agatha Christie, the protagonist of several of her novels. The character is an elderly lady who lives in St. Mary Mead, a charming fictional village in the southern English countryside. Her knowledge of human nature has helped her solve many cases that even the most important inspectors at Scotland Yard found impossible.
