The top three organizers of an ICE protest that invaded and disrupted a Cities Church service in St Paul, MN, last weekend have been arrested and charged with violations of the FACE Act and conspiracy against rights. Those three are Nekima Levy Armstrong, Chauntyll Louisa Allen, and William Kelly. An arrest warrant was also sought against Don Lemon, but the magistrate rejected it. Halligan was disqualified from the role in November 2025 by a federal district judge, who ruled that her appointment—as an interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia—was unlawful (similar to at least four other interim appointments). Despite the order, and while it was under appeal, she continued to make filings and act in the position as if the ruling were a mere fever dream. The office's highest-profile cases over the past six months—the prosecutions of James Comey and Letitia James—should never have been brought. Trump's initial choice for the office, Erik Siebert, along with other investigators, determined over the summer that there was no viable case against Comey and declined to pursue it. That decision triggered firings and resignations. Trump then asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to install Halligan in the role. The James case was weak, but the Comey case was especially flawed: it suffered from errors in the grand jury process, fatal factual defects in the indictment, and violations of the rights of both the defendant (Comey) and a key witness (Daniel Richman). Before Halligan's appointment, Trump's original pick (Siebert) was effectively forced out (fired or resigned, depending on the account), and other career prosecutors quit. More recently, Halligan's right-hand prosecutor was also fired. Now Halligan is out, and those high-profile Comey and James cases will almost certainly be abandoned. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia is now leaderless, understaffed, and destabilized. And for what? This has been a hugely damaging saga for the office, for Bondi, and for Trump. A federal judge has restricted DOJ from accessing and reviewing the devices seized from Washington Post journalist Hannah Natanson. The devices were taken as part of a search warrant and investigation that is related to the search warrant and arrest of a defense contractor whom Natanson was in communication with and who has taken classified information from a SCIF at his employer's office in the D.C. area. That man is Aurelio Luis Perez-Lugones, and he is currently detained, facing initial charges of retention of national defense information, with more charges expected to be filed. It is understood that at least some of the classified information he was taking and leaking to Natanson had to do with intelligence reports concerning Venezuela. (Disqualified) Interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan's 120-Day Appointment is Up. The United States District Court for EDVA has posted a vacancy notice, seeking someone to run that office. Even if you accept the argument that Halligan was lawfully appointed and should not have been disqualified, which is currently under appeal at the Fourth Circuit,... her time is up. The 120 days have passed by. So, there's a vacancy. As the Summer Riots of 2020 kicked off, Tashella Sheri Amore Dickerson, the executive director of BLMOKC, had just $500 in her checking account. By that July, she had millions. She had embezzled donations and grants meant to pay bail for arrested BLM protesters and used it for personal shopping sprees, real estate purchases, and handouts to family and friends. This activity continued for years, until just a couple months ago. Now, a 25-count indictment against her for wire fraud and money laundering plus forfeiture has been unsealed. 135 exhibits were recently unsealed in the now-settled U.S. Virgin Islands case against JPMorgan Chase over the bank's relationships with Jeffrey Epstein. In December of 2022, the U.S. Virgin Islands and victims of Epstein and Maxwell brought a complaint against JPMorgan Chase Bank over the bank's relationship with Epstein. The complaint alleged that JP Morgan "knowingly facilitated, sustained, and concealed the human trafficking network operated by Jeffrey Epstein." 9 months later they reached a settlement for $75 million. Well, before reaching that settlement, a lot of exhibits were filed under seal in this case. Over 100 exhibits. And on Oct 30, 2025, thanks to motions filed by the NYT and WSJ, 135 of those exhibits were unsealed. Voting machine company Smartmatic (SGO Corp Ltd) made their initial appearance in federal criminal court on Oct 30, 2025. The company was recently added as a defendant in a criminal case that already included execs and the CEO as defendants, as well as the Filipino election official who officials at Smartmatic are alleged to have bribed and laundered money to in a corrupt effort to secure over $180 million in contracts for their machines. Smartmatic will be arraigned on charges of Conspiracy to Violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering, and Money Laundering on Nov 20, 2025.
