Welrod Inspired – Homemade Pistol
GarageGuy3006Disclaimer: This video is for educational purposes only. All firearm use shown was done safely at a controlled range using remote cameras and proper safety equipment. This video demonstrates lawful and safe firearm handling, maintenance, and/or historical or mechanical discussions. All firearms used are legally owned and operated in accordance with all applicable laws. This homemade and fascinating pistol is another piece from my collection. It is a prototype turn bolt action single shot pistol chambered in 380 ACP. Its overall design was inspired from the Welrod pistols of old. The pistol features a 4.5-inch barrel with a 1:16 twist. The barrel and receiver are all one piece. The frame from this pistol is identical to the one for the 22-mystery pistol. The turn handle is knurled and the pistol does come equipped with iron sights. Despite its unconventional appearance, it has proven to be a reliable and fun pistol. Homemade Rolling Block Rifle: 22 Hornet
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this single shot rifle less than one year ago. This single shot rolling block action rifle is chambered in 22 Hornet. I’ve always been intrigued by the rolling-block action and really wanted one in an odd caliber like the 22 Hornet. The barrel was a Shilen unturned blank (1:16 twist) match barrel that is approximately 22 inches long. The stock has a boiled linseed finish on American Walnut. The forward stock has finger groves and is probably too long. The stock has a grind to fit Pachmayr buttpad and the gun is fitted with a 9x Leupold Scope. The rifle locks up mechanically via the rolling block design and the extractor is an older manual style. The gun uses a simple trigger mechanism inside homemade trigger housing with a half cock option. The all of the metal is coated using Brownells oxpho-blue. This has been a fairly accurate gun, with some 100 yard groups at 1 MOA. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Thanks, be safe and God bless.423 views 1 comment -
Homemade Pistol – 22 Short Single Shot from my Collection
GarageGuy3006Disclaimer: This video is for educational purposes only. All firearm use shown was done safely at a controlled range using remote cameras and proper safety equipment. This video demonstrates lawful and safe firearm handling, maintenance, and/or historical or mechanical discussions. All firearms used are legally owned and operated in accordance with all applicable laws. This fascinating pistol is another one-off piece from my collection. It appears to be a prototype single shot .22 short. I think it resembles the long slide pistol that the Terminator used in the original movie. The pistol features a green mountain barrel with a 1:16 twist. The grips are made from old reclaimed American Chestnut with a tung oil finish. Despite its unconventional appearance, it has proven to be a really fun pistol from my collection. If you enjoy content like this and want to see more unique items and oddities from my collection, let me know in the comments. Thanks, be safe, and God bless.397 views 2 comments -
Break-Action 22 Hornet
GarageGuy3006Disclaimer: This video is for educational purposes only. All firearm use shown was done safely at a controlled range using remote cameras and proper safety equipment. This video demonstrates lawful and safe firearm handling, maintenance, and/or historical or mechanical discussions. All firearms used are legally owned and operated in accordance with all applicable laws. This fascinating pistol is another one-off piece from my collection. It appears to be a prototype, break-action, single shot .22 Hornet. I think it resembles the MAC from the James Bond Movie Die another Day, and it certainly has a dystopian feel. So, throw a little Blade Runner in there too. The pistol features a 5” green mountain barrel with a 1:16 twist. The grips are made from American Walnut with a tung oil finish. Despite its unconventional appearance, it has proven to be a really fun pistol from my personal collection. Homemade Double Barrel Pistol: In the Line of Fire Movie Inspired
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns that I just finished up. This is a double barrel double trigger 22LR pistol. This pistol is inspired by the movie prop pistol used by John Malkovich in the 1993 movie “In the Line of Fire”. His charter Mitch Leary makes a version of this pistol in the movie. The movie used several props and I was able to get fairly close. Due to safety issues, I used a key slot instead of a hinge and I had to make other alterations that Hollywood did not consider. There are not sights, per the movie, but the gun functions well. I used two rifled barrel liners inside the pistol that have a 1:16 twist. In the movie Mitch Leary used a resin to make his, but I used steel and aluminum. The whole thing weighs over 2lbs 11oz! I also like this pistol since it is sort of a tiny Howdah pistol. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Thanks, be safe and God bless.244 views -
Cursed Homemade Gun: Straight Pull 9mm
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this gun about 15 years ago so don’t judge too much. This is definitely a cursed gun with a steam punk look. I built this gun before I had a metal lathe and mill, so it is rather rough. This is a straight pull manual action rifle is chambered in 9mm parabellum and uses 20 round Sten magazines. There is a locking bolt on both sides of the rifle that lock into the tube receiver. The stock was borrowed from an old Springfield shotgun, and the trigger mechanism is a modified H&K or Cetme trigger. Originally I had a 4x scope on it, but put a red dot on it for demonstration. The barrel is 16" long was designed to go in a Russian PPSh. It has an extractor and ejector. Thanks, be safe and God bless.219 views 1 comment
