The Cowboy Way

Surviving an Ambush isn't really all that hard. You just want to run as fast as you can, but you'll have to deal with the ambush because it will remain until you have cleared it out. Here's some quick advice in the video to show you. This is a small ambush by the O'Driscolls. The O'Driscolls are hired for their willingness to kill and not for their knowledge or experience. Most of the gangs in the game are the same. You must deal with the immediate problem. You are in a kill-box! (A kill-box is the location that your attackers what you in. You are surrounded by attackers that have cover and elevation. Taking cover here is a losing proposition for you because with elevation and cover your attackers will be hard to kill. The best was out is to run until you have no left in front of you. Then you simply turn and start shooting at anyone who's shooting at you. I go over what kind of equipment works best for this type of combat. It's simple though, one long gun with a scope, a two-gun rig, and health items to preserve your health. I have the attack shown twice. Once for instruction and the second simply played through. Weather in single-player or online, the tactics are the same. If you are playing online and new to the game, don't give up keep fighting until the ambush is cleared. You will be racking up the XP while you are getting killed. Try to remember to move from cover to cover. Don't fight in the open; at least not yet.

In Red Dead Online, I camp near a known spawning point for a big cat, and if I want to pass near by, I have to kill this big cat. Naturally, I figured that I would make a video of it. Also, I have at least one griefer following me around spawning these big cats and making this one cat more difficult to kill.

A Pair of hackers have been harassing me by attacking me in the game and by hacking my computers, network, router, and cable modem. I'm not asking for help, not yet anyway. I've purchased the services of a premium security company to help me rid my systems of malware and hacker tools. It's my hope that I can sound the alarm that Rockstar and Steam have abandoned the game and (in it's current form) is FULL of security holes that allow hackers to learn your IP Address, user name, and available open ports that operate similarly to SSH. They were able to gain access to all of my systems and install malware, rootkits, and bootkits to all of computers, my router, and cable modem. If you are planing on playing this game (or any online game) please harden your system by installing security software from any premium security companies. I'm not trying to sell these services, but you will need one. Insure that your firewall is up and is set to public space. Even though you are at home your computer is in a public space with people who only want to break into your system to cause harm. I've been unable to get even my own local police to look into the matter. Without their help to start the process, I can NOT get the state police or federal police to even begin to help. This has been difficult to deal with. It's my plan to go into more detail later, but I have to kick these people out of my systems and network. I've been forced using the computers at my local library. I'm grateful for their help. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. Protect yourself! Don't let what happened to me happen to you.

Well, this is it for the Horseman Nine Challenge! I recorded everything from the second attempt to the final attempt in about two or three hours, but it was at the every end of an eight hour gaming session. I might show some of the rest of the video, but we'll see.

This is the last episode in this series. I will be releasing an Outtakes and Close Call video, but win or lose this is it for now. I had fun doing this, but I recorded this at the tail end of an eight hour gaming session! After completing the last video, I wasn't sure that I had the energy to make another attempt. I just couldn't leave on such a bad note, so picked some "Wild Corndogs" and try it again. I'd like to take credit for that term, but when I was a kid that's what my dad called them! I nearly ate one! Thanks for the memories, dad. I love you!

I made to Blackwater alive, but I didn't get credit for it. When you watch the video, you see why I believe it happened. After I failed yet didn't fail, I considered giving up and going to be. I chose to give it another try, and that video will be coming out soon.

The Horseman Nine Challenge as Arthur Morgan, The 2nd Attempt. In this attempt, I've switched to Ghost, a dapple dark grey lady. At the end of the video, you'll see why I love the Hungarian Halfbred horse so much. When playing the single player of Red Dead Redemption 2, I will always find a Hungarian Halfbred, "Ghost", a Missouri Fox Trotter, "Baby Girl", and the White Arabian "Snowball". That leaves one stall for trying out other breeds of horses.

To get to Emerald Station, I had to cross a rather BIG rail bridge!

To complete the Daily Challenge, Visit Fort Mercer, I fast traveled to Tumbleweed and accepted the escort mission to Fort Mercer. This added Exp points compared to simply getting on my horse and riding there. We pickup the story at Tumbleweed's gunsmith shop as I'm cleaning my last weapon.
