Animusic

Animusic 2 is a computer animated video album made by Wayne Lytle and Goldhil Home Media in 2005.

Pogo Sticks features the return of Mr. Stick, the popular robotic bass from Stick Figures on Animusic 1. This time "he" has been reformatted to include wheels and a second string. He has the ability of bouncing and the capabilities of motion. He also brings along "friends" and "cousins" in the form of similar instruments. The whole stage is just a wooden track surrounded by wooden blocks.

The animation is set in a room boundaried by alienistic dark green pipes, with colored tubes and pads that play when light flows through them from fiber-optic cables. The light flows through the cables at a visible speed, and so the cables probably are filled with super-cold matter, called a Bose-Einstein condensate, which slows light down to a visible speed. The fact that the drums actually interact with these packets of lights is most likely due to there being glowing matter instead of light coming through their cables, which solidifies on contact with air, and evaporates on impact.

The segment starts with two robots, one with red synth pads and the other with blue synth pads. They start playing.

A mash-up of stringed instruments serves as the main instrument. The instruments are morphed into one, resulting in a surreal design. To play itself, it uses wooden fingers to strum its strings. It is unknown if these wooden fingers are purely mechanical or are controlled by a force. The instrument is set in a wooden room with one moon outside each window. Each moon is different, ranging from a full moon to a crescent. Lanterns lit the room.

There are three robotic drummer players in this animation. The first one is inside a spherical cage of percussion instruments with limited movement along a straight pole. The other two "satellite" players move around the outside of the drum kit along two large circular tracks.

A set of autonomously-played instruments perform in a chamber. The instruments are surrounded by a thick brownish-orange chamber wall. In the beginning of this animation, the instruments are introduced one at a time, coming either the ceiling or the floor, and disappear at the end. The instruments are a group of mechanized instruments. The band consists of an acoustic guitar, hammered dulcimer, bass guitar, vibraphone, tubular bells, and a drum kit. The acoustic guitar is the first instrument that appears in the animation and plays itself with pick installed to a hammer-like small arm. The dulcimer is the second to appear. It plays itself by using a hammer-like pick. The bass rises up with the drum set in the animation. It plays itself with blue picks and hammers, one used in only one mode (strum and hammered). The drum set, that appears with the bass guitar is a red drum set and plays itself with drum sticks. The vibraphone appears before the tubular bells. It plays itself by using purple mallets. The tubular bell set is the final instrument that appears in the animation.

A bunch of instruments play on a room completely surrounded by pipes. This animation begins with the ball firing testing on the bass/bongo double instrument. The stage is mostly made up of a circular vibraphone fountain, bass/bongo/ banjo/bongo double instrument, and a drum kit with a slide-bar marimba on top. They are all played by ball bearings that shoot out of certain pipes. The room's walls are either white or pink and the floor appears to be made out wood. The instruments are all connected to the pipes.
