Full Volume on Rumble! (Recommended) "Nookie" is a song by the American nu metal band Limp Bizkit. It was released on June 15, 1999, as the lead single from their second studio album, Significant Other (1999). In a 2008 interview with British rock magazine Kerrang, guitarist Wes Borland said the following about how the lyrical content turned out: "The music was cool, but I didn't like the lyrics at all. The funny thing is that 'Nookie' was actually the working title. When we were in the studio there was a porn magazine that had the word 'nookie' on the cover, so I was like, 'This song's called Nookie!', I never thought someone would actually run with it. I suppose it's all my fault. Fred Durst said about the song, "It's about my ex-girlfriend, how she treated me like shit, and I couldn't leave her, wouldn't get over it," he said. "She screwed my friends and used me for my money. I tried to figure out why I did it, and I figured I did it all for the nookie." ℗ 1999 Geffen Records Producer: Terry Date Producer: Limp Bizkit Composer Lyricist: Fred Durst Composer Lyricist: Leor Dimant Composer Lyricist: Wes Borland Composer Lyricist: John Otto Composer Lyricist: Samuel Rivers Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of Copyright Act 1976. Full Volume on Rumble! (Recommended) "Hunter" is a song recorded by Icelandic singer Björk for her third studio album Homogenic (1997). The lyrics explore the pressure Björk felt to write music after realising the workforce that depended on her, following the success she found as a solo artist with her previous studio albums. The song was first performed at the 1997 Tibetan Freedom Concert and later included with the online promotional release of Homogenic; the track was subsequently released as the third single from the album as three different CD releases in the United Kingdom in October 1998, having been released in France four months prior. A collaborative effort between Björk and Mark Bell, "Hunter" features a dark combination of strings and layered synths, a militaristic electronic beat, and enigmatic lyrics about the heading towards a mission. Most music critics were enticed by "Hunter", which they declared one of the highlights of Homogenic. However, the single charted poorly, peaking at number 44 on the UK Singles Chart and number 55 in France. "Hunter" was included on Björk's greatest hits album Greatest Hits (2002), whose tracks were selected by fans through an online survey. The accompanying music video for "Hunter" was directed by longtime collaborator Paul White of Me Company and consists of a close-up of a bald Björk as she transforms into a "techno-bear" while singing. Seeking to convey the music's fusion of organic and technological, the polar bear was animated in a non-naturalistic fashion; the bear also embodies the ferocious hunter the lyrics represent. The song's video garnered acclaim from critics. Björk has performed "Hunter" on Later... with Jools Holland and on five of her tours, the most recent being the Vulnicura tour. directed by paul white. written by björk. published by universal music publishing ltd. ® 1997 björk overseas ltd/one little indian records ltd. Full Volume on Rumble! (Recommended) "After completing their record deal with Sony BMG in 2004, Korn partnered with EMI Records and signed to Virgin Records. As part of this innovative arrangement, Virgin paid Korn $25 million in exchange for a share in the profits of See You on the Other Side and the band's next album, including tours and merchandising. Virgin also received a 30 percent stake in the band's licensing, ticket sales and other revenue sources. The album was recorded in Jonathan Davis' home studio which was used for the previous album, Take a Look in the Mirror, as well as the Queen of the Damned soundtrack and score. Davis stated "We went through a lot of drama with Head leaving and getting off our label and making the album by ourselves." Regarding Brian "Head" Welch's departure, James "Munky" Shaffer recalled "There was kind of a moment where we didn't know what we were going to do and how we were going to continue. We kind of decided, 'OK, we can just sit back and we can put out a greatest hits album and end this or we can use this opportunity and instead of looking at it as a loss, reinvent what we do."
