Philemon - Philemon's life was a personal testimony of his faithfulness in Messiah. 2020
RVTAPhile 1:5 because I hear of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints; Philemon's life was a personal testimony of his faithfulness in Messiah. His love for Messiah and for other saints following the will of Elohim always showed in his life. We are going to look at this little short letter by Paul that is written to a man named "Philemon" (or "Pileymon" if you use "The Scriptures" as your translation). It is normally taught that this letter is about a slave that escaped from Philemon named Onesimos that ran to the big city and happened to overhear Paul tell the crowds about the Gospel and Onesimos got saved. Then Paul wrote this letter to Philemon (who happened to be an old friend of Paul's) to tell him that Onesimos is now saved and should not be treated like a slave. There are a lot of coincidences in that interpretation. But is it correct? I think not... Take 30 minutes out of your busy schedule and see for yourself!23 views
