Fox Kids Oct 6, 2001 Medabots S1 Ep 7 Cyandog Bites Back
TThe Classic ChannelSpyke and Cyandog get thrown out of the Screws after an embarrassing eleven straight losses while Samantha and Sloan have twenty-two wins together for the gang's sake. To compensate, Spyke tried to obtain at least one victory, so he challenged three preschoolers. The three little children as it turns out are all vicious Medafighters with a cute but powerful teddy bear Medabot, Churlybear, and Cyandog loses the Robattle. Erika saw what happened and published it on the news, which angered Samantha. Later on, Metabee helps Cyandog redeem himself. While futilely attempting to train Cyandog to hit things with his weapons (The poor Medabot having no aim at all), Ikki and Salty discover the reason the dog Medabot is so weak. Cyandog has a Monkey Medal (made for close combat Medabots) which is incompatible with his shooting type parts, which Spyke bought because he thought it looked cool. Ikki is stuck at what to do since Spyke won't consider getting a shooting type Medal (as this would change the personality of his friend), nor get a close combat type body. Erika runs up to them and tells them that Samantha is going to challenge the Ankle Biters. Samantha challenged the three kids that defeated Spyke and Cyandog, but her Peppercat was beaten into submission. It's up to Spyke, the last of the Screws, to win. While Spyke is initially petrified of the battle, Ikki decides to help the poor boy out and lends him an edge, a Decoy Crab Medapart that is actually compatible with his Medal. With it, for the first time in his life, Cyandog actually becomes a competent battler, hammering into his opponent, much to everyone's shock. It gets a little sketchy, but the end result is Spyke getting his first ever Robattle victory. Feeling confident, he challenges Ikki and Metabee to a Robattle, but he loses and Samantha considers throwing him out again.111 views 1 comment -
ABC Family Jan 11, 2004 Medabots S3 Ep 25 I, Kilobot
TThe Classic ChannelSuzie was bored and watched a Robattle between Tak's Komandog and a kid's Hamshin. Nearby, Suzie saw how Spyke and Sloan did everything for Samantha, and she wished to also have someone to do everything for her. She tries to convince Minitora and Kintora, but as they ran away from her, she decided to try convincing Tak. Later, Tak and Komandog were challenged by a Rogue Medafighter, and his Brownbison defeated Komandog with ease. Suzie appears and tries to convince Tak to help her test a Kilobot, which would give him an edge in Robattles, but Tak refuses. In Nae's shop, Tak is frustrated with how easily he lost, and wonders if the problem is with his Medabot. Ikki says that it is easy to blame the Medabot when feeling down, but Komandog is a good Medabot and they only need to train more. Tak says it is easy for Ikki to say that as he has a strong Medabot, and training is boring, throwing away his Medawatch and running from the shop. Seeing what happened, Suzie tries to convince Tak again, asking where is his Medabot and saying that no one likes losing, and she convinces Tak to at least try using a Kilobot, saying that she will lend a Kilobot for him. Suzie goes after Minitora and Kintora, tricking Minitora to lend his Kilowatch to her by saying that it has a problem that needs to be fixed, but actually takes it to Tak, saying that he can do whatever he wants with it without worry. With Minitora's Unitrix, Tak manages to win several Robattles without difficulty due to his power and to reloading ammo during matches. Tak is happy with his winning streak, but when he tries to talk with Unitrix, he remembered that Kilobots lack personality. Ginkai watched Tak's matches and appeared to warn that being a Rogue Medafighter can be quite lonely, but that probably will not matter as long as he keeps winning, right? Tak says that he is right, and now he can win even against him and Ikki. Ginkai says he can have it his way, but warns to never overestimate himself, as his personality is about as good as his skills, and leaves. Tak feels a little down, but Suzie says that Ginkai left because he was afraid of Tak now that he became too powerful, and they should show his power to Ikki and Metabee too. Tak agrees, saying that he will show them that he was right. At night, Tak calls Ikki and combines to Robattle with him in the next day. Ikki brings Komandog with him, thinking Tak will want to Robattle with his Medabot, but Tak tells him to keep Komandog and shows that he now has Unitrix, and they Robattle. Metabee keeps avoiding Unitrix and asks Ikki why he does not want to attack, and Ikki says that he wants Metabee to win without shooting to show Tak that it is not the parts you use, but how you use them that decide the victor, and that the Kilobots are not the answer for winning in Robattles. Metabee wonders how they can even win without shooting, but agrees to try Ikki's plan. The battle drags on for some time, with Tak reloading Unitrix's ammo several times, but despite this, he is unable to land a single hit on the evasive Metabee, while Metabee managed to throw a large rock on Unitrix. Tired of waiting, Suzie decides to help Tak by calling Ambiguous 2 to sneakily take down Metabee, but Komandog noticed what Suzie was planning and tries to stop her, without success, with Ambiguous 2 attacking Komandog. Before they do too much damage, Ginkai and Arc-Dash show up to protect Komandog and challenge Suzie, but Suzie decides to leave. Back to Ikki and Tak, Metabee finally manages to win by using a plank as an improvised board to slide down a pile of cement to gain momentum and hit Unitrix, the impact being strong enough to defeat Unitrix. Ginkai shows up, impressed that Metabee won against Unitrix without firing a single shot, and tells Tak that it is not how much power you have, but how you use it, that matters. Ginkai also says that Suzie tried to interfere with the match, but Komandog stopped her. Tak hugs Komandog, apologizing for what he did, and Ikki returns Tak's Medawatch. Later, Tak searches for Suzie and returns the Kilowatch for her, saying that he will no longer need it as he has Komandog, and Suzie laments that her plan failed. Minitora appears alongside Kintora to ask Suzie about his Kilowatch, but instead of returning it, Suzie places his Kilowatch on a cat that was passing nearby and startles the cat, forcing Minitora and Kintora to chase the cat to retrieve it.137 views 1 comment -
Fox Kids April 13, 2002 Medabots S1 Ep 23 X-Treme Measures
TThe Classic ChannelIkki and Metabee need only one more victory to qualify to the World Robattle Cup, but as time running out, they decided to challenge Space Medafighter X. Everyone thinks it is a bad idea to challenge Japan's best Medafighter, specially due to Metabee being tired after his Robattles with the Rubberobo Gang, and Karin calls Rintaro, suggesting Ikki to face him instead as the chance of winning against him will be better. However, Ikki and Metabee have decided to face Space Medafighter X, as if they can't defeat Japan's best, what chance they will have against the best Medafighters from around the world in the tournament? Erika asks Space Medafighter X to give Ikki a handicap due to Metabee's condition, but Space Medafighter X says he will use his full power, saying that if Ikki won in that condition, others would attribute his victory to the handicap instead of his skills. However, the Screws appear and Spyke lends Metabee Krosserdog's left arm to improve his chances. Koji and Rintaro also lend some of their parts (Sumilidon's legs and Kantaroth's right arm), and Erika also gives a good luck gift for Ikki. After those preparations, Ikki and Metabee start the decisive Robattle against Space Medafighter X and Arcbeetle. Meanwhile, the Rubberobo Gang is watching their Robattle and decide to wait for Space Medafighter X to defeat Metabee so they can take his Rare Medal, but they ask what would they do if Space Medafighter X lost, with Seaslug doubting that Japan's best would lose to a kid. Shrimplips then has an idea. Instead of attacking the Medabot, why not attack the Medafighter directly to take the Medawatch that controls the Medabot? Seaslug thinks they have no other choice and prepares Whitesword for a surprise attack. Despite all the preparations, Arcbeetle is too much for Metabee. Arcbeetle is able to dodge and defend against all of Metabee's attacks, even effortlessly taking his missiles with one hand and throwing them aside. Metabee, still exhausted from his previous Robattles and despondent, almost goes down, but Ikki lifted his spirit. With his willpower back, Metabee was able to damage Arcbeetle, surprising everyone. However, Whitesword appears and attacks Ikki during the heat of the battle, but Space Medafighter X noticed the Medabot and jumped in front of Ikki to defend him. Mr. Referee asks what they are doing, and the Rubberobo Gang tries to excuse it as only an accident, but the blatant lies do not work. Seaslug then challenges Ikki using his real name, but Metabee, enraged with the interruption of the Robattle and their coward attack against his partner, is able to use the Medaforce again, defeating Whitesword in an instant. Everyone checks if Space Medafighter X is alright, and as Whitesword's attack broke his mask, they are surprised to see that he is the Phantom Renegade. The Phantom Renegade reveals that he planned to steal Metabee's Rare Medal to protect it from evil, but then he saw the friendship between Ikki and Metabee grow, and decided to bet on their friendship. Then, a helicopter appears and drops Mega-Emperor near them, the Rubberobo Gang's most powerful Medabot, which attacks everything in sight. Shrimplips warns them of what they will be up against and the four Rubberobo Gang members run away. The Phantom Renegade suggests everyone to do the same while he stays behind to face the war machine, but Ikki and Koji decided to stay to help. However, Mega-Emperor is too powerful even for Arcbeetle, and the Phantom Renegade decided to risk getting close to forcefully eject his Medal. He is successful, but as soon as Mega-Emperor stopped moving, the cliff they were standing on collapsed and they fell on the ocean. Before falling, the Phantom Renegade requested Ikki to protect Metabee's Rare Medal against evil forces like the Rubberobo Gang. Ikki and Koji wonder if he could have survived that fall, but before they can do anything, they are surrounded by several members of the Rubberobo Gang.130 views 1 comment
