People come out to register their opposition to what they do not like or want to accept, and it is important for people to be able to do that in a democracy. What we are seeing right now, not only with the surge of 2000 federal agents, but now we have another thousand apparently coming in, is essentially trying to create this kind of environment where people feel intimidated, threatened and terrorized. And I think the ultimate goal of Kristi Noem and President Trump is to agitate people enough where, you know, they are able to revoke the insurrection act and institute martial law because there is no other justifiable way to describe what is taking place in Minneapolis at this moment. There is no justifiable reason why this number of agents are here in our state. They’re not sending forensic investigators to look into fraud. Since Trump has come in, we are still prosecuting the people that were investigated and set up for prosecution for fraud under the Biden Administration and and the Biden ag. We are not seeing the level of descriptions that they normally provide about the hardened criminals that they are picking up. What we are seeing is that they’re stopping people. They are profiling people. They are threatening those that are trying to track their movements and try to get information on what is happening to their neighbors. We are seeing dozens and dozens of citizens being arrested. This is really a chaotic situation that is unavoidable. But the administration and nome think it is a good pr tool for them to use to make Minneapolis look like it is ground zero for criminality, when all that we are seeing is our neighbors—“

Shortly after we were, let in to officials, came in and said that they received a message that we were no longer allowed to be in the building and that they were was sending our invitation to come in and declining any further access to the building. When we initially entered I’ll briefly describe what we saw we were taking in to the monitor. >> Center we were able to see where people were brought in. We were informed that to- or there are two planes taking off today, taking detainees out of this center into other detention centers outside within the United States. We did ask if those were deportation flight. We were told know when we enter. >> The detention center: we were able to observe about 20 people that were being detained there. Briefly, we also were told that they were showers. We weren’t able to see we asked if there were hygiene products, provided they told us. People are not held long enough to need those switches in same because we’ve heard from people who have been detained here before, and so I will let my colleagues also share their observation, but I will end with this.
