Being Erica TV Show

Starting a new favourite show of mine - Being Erica - which originally aired in Canada in 2009 on Jan 5th - and stars Erin Karpluk as Erica Strange and Michael Riley as Dr. Tom. Some taglines for the show would be - Fantasy, Time Travel, Second Chance and Comedy. Now originally the show had a fabulous batch of music clips throughout - but that very thing would not allow posting here because a lot of the tracks were very famous. Because of the costs to air this again featuring the songs, it appears to have been remade in 2015/2016 with a more generic soundtrack, and this is what I will be featuring. I would love to show the original episodes with the wonderful music, but that would not pass copyright. Anyway the 2015/16 version is still excellent, and apart from some music, completely identical. In this pilot episode we meet Erica and her soon to become therapist, Dr. Tom - and embark on a series of adventures that kind of reminds me a little of Back To The Future. And that can never be a bad thing. Also great shots of Toronto, where filming took place. Resolution increased to HD. Enjoy - I know I did. The show focuses on Erica going back to key moments in her past - and how she can change perception of any regrets. In this episode she goes back to a chidlhood moment as a 13 year old, and Samantha Weinstein, as the younger Erica, makes a good fist of stealing the show. Resolution increased to HD. Erica is feeling stressed that her time with Dr. Tom seems to have made life worse instead of better, and wants to quit. So Dr. Tom offers her a chance to go to any date in the past, where she was the cause of the day being perfect. She chooses a day as a teenager, and vows not to change a thing - but maybe that won't be so easy, as just maybe the day wasn't as perfect as she remembers........... Resolution increased to HD. Holiday time, and there is much pressure within the Strange family for everyone to reconcile, especially Erica and Sam. But much of the tension is on Erica's parents and their issues - and how Erica siding with her father hasn't helped. So Tom sends Erica back in time twice - firstly to 1997 where a lot of the problems first surfaced - but then way back to 1974, to a hippie commune her parents were at soon after marrying........ Ninth episode of a new/old favourite show of mine - Being Erica - this episode originally aired in Canada in 2009 on March 4th - and stars Erin Karpluk as Erica Strange and Michael Riley as Dr. Tom. The show focuses on Erica going back to key moments in her past - and how she can change perception of any regrets. Some taglines for the show would be - Fantasy, Time Travel, Second Chance and Comedy. In this episode...... Erica is confused over relationship issues - specifically with Ryan and Ethan - so Dr. Tom sends her back to just before the new millennium to show her what could be behind her issues. It would seem an unresolved relationship with her friend Cassidy, in which Erica backs off as she is not gay - Cassidy is somewhat heartbroken, and Erica leaves any feelings behind concerning her sexuality, and never sees Cassidy again. So Erica is determined that this time around she will tell Cassidy that she is straight sooner, and so not risk their friendship. But this revisit to her past makes her truly confront her feelings for Cassidy, and see how that may impact not only her friendship with Cassidy but also her current situation with both Ryan and Ethan.
