Tiseko the Blyth's Reed Warbler!
FlackoWeaselFirst BRW of 2025!! I heard a Thrush Nightingale singing in the otherside of borough I always hear 1 TNG sing each year. Last year there was Tivotsi. But when I reached closer to TNG8 named Vauppovo, I heard a first BRW too!! This was unusual place this one to sing, I have never heard BRWs sing this area. Sad thing is, I had NO way getting closer to it, as there was a fence around the building. Only way was to record across a river with Tascam gorillapoded to a tree branch. So I apologise the audio is not the best, the very first BRW had a bad RNG for me.... Distinctive parts telling this BRW apart! -------------------------------------------------------------------- "Tiskiglo kivoo tiskiglo" - a familiar sample "Tisikiglo" used in a cool way, making a melodic sample. Slight variant of the sample. "Plüüi plüüi tarrni tarnikii" - quite common rhythm I have heard on multiple BRWs over the year (Freddie Warblury did this rhythm too in his way, almost dubsteppy like) Always a joy to hear when he uses these "tarrni"samples, they give such a cool instrmental vibe. "Jüi vinske vii tk tk tk" - This one has more melodic variant of a sample "Jüi vins ke". This sample also has multiple variants (Jüä VINSke, Jüää vins de-de-de-de). Recorded 20 May 00:22am6 views -
Ekoki the Blyth's Reed Warbler 2025!
FlackoWeaselBRW nr 2! Sadly he sang not in the best place for a 2nd BRW, same place where Videlo in 2024 sang. Good thing is, I got him recorded so any other BRW who will appear won't be in that area lol and I do not have to deal with that crap area. I love that "Djuup ek-ok-ek võit" part. Sounds so happy! It is Ekoki's distinctive part and that's where his name is from! Distinctive parts telling this BRW apart! -------------------------------------------------------------------- "Djuup ekoki VÕIT" - Melodic rhythm. It sounds like estonian word "võit" (Win) and I remembered this part quite well. Tiseko had no such parts in his song sample list so Ekoki stood out with this part asap- "Psui psui FREEE duk duk duk jüitt" - Feels like some industrial and machinery sounding and steam being pressed out during "psui psui" part. Very unique rhythm. "Aku verr VIRss vjerr vjerr viii" Lots of bassy and vibrating sounds heard here. Had a wavy tone too, going up and then very low and bassy and up again to happy sounding parts!
