Barrie was the official 1978 Shroud of Turin Science Team documenting photographer. His story his personal and was life-changing. On August 9, 2023, I sat down with my friend Barrie Schwortz to discuss his involvement with the original 1978 Shroud of Turin science team, which researched and studied that 2000-year-old cloth artifact. In this nearly two-hour interview with Barrie, I learned a lot about the Shroud from his perspective as the science team's official documenting photographer. It was a fascinating and gripping interview. Sadly, Barrie passed away in June of 2024; however, his Shroud photos and the website he built, www.shroud.com, are a testament and legacy he left for all of us. His Jewish humor comes across well.
