American “Aid” Pier Used For Hostage Raid June 11, 2024 ISRAEL and U.S. IMPERIALISM - FOLLOW THE MONEY The Jimmy Dore Show The Israeli regime’s military has reportedly used a United States built pier, purportedly intended for aid transfer to Gaza, to facilitate a brutal attack against the Nuseirat refugee camp that killed 210 Palestinians and wounded hundreds during a raid on Saturday. According to a report by The Cradle online news magazine, the Israeli forces carried out the assault on Saturday, killing hundreds of Palestinians and retrieving four Israeli captives. "The troops were then flown out of Gaza via the U.S.-built pier, which had been reinstalled on the coast on Friday after undergoing tens of millions in repairs," The Cradle stated. At least 210 Palestinians were killed and more than 400 injured during the operation, which involved dozens of airstrikes targeting the besieged territory. Gaza's government media office condemned the attacks as "a barbaric and brutal aggression" against civilians, including children, in the Nuseirat camp. The operation is part of a broader conflict that has seen Israeli forces waging a genocidal war on Gaza since last October, which has resulted in the deaths of at least 36,801 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injured 83,680 others. The brutal military campaign has received unwavering military and political backing from Israel's Western allies, notably the United States. Before the Nuseirat operation, the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas had warned that the floating pier was intended for delivering weapons to the Israeli regime. In response, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which is in charge of U.S. forces in Western Asia, denied that the pier was involved in the Nuseirat attack, but did confirm that Israel used an area near the facility to carry out its brutal attack. "The humanitarian pier facility, including its equipment, personnel, and assets, were not used in the operation to rescue hostages today in Gaza," CENTCOM claimed on social media. "An area south of the facility was used by the Israelis to safely return the hostages to Israel." The pier had been returned to Gaza's coast on Friday after repairs in Israel, following damage sustained during bad weather last month.
