Transformational Leadership
JJudeoChristianFast forward 8 years and it seems as if things in the West are 'rebooting' Will the change in leadership bring about the kind of long-lasting positive transformations we envision? So have we learned any lessons in 8 years? Consider how relevant this message is to today! Leaders or managers? “Leaders are people who do the right thing; managers are people who do things right.” (Professor Warren G. Bennis) So where are the “leaders” in our world, the ones who “do the right thing?” We have many charismatic figures in the world — politicians, sports figures, adventurers, business executives. But do we have leaders who have the vision and set a true course to inspire others to do the right thing, those who exercise transformational leadership.22 views 1 comment -
Stand for what is Good
JJudeoChristianRemembrance Day brings to mind the lives that were sacrificed in epic battles. Soldiers who embraced their duty engaged in the struggle between good and evil. As Christians the battle we fight is no less intense. As soldiers in God’s army do we stand for what is good, and recognize the consequences of evil. This week the horror of the Sutherland Springs shooting brought to mind the scripture that speaks of our violent age. “Because lawlessness will abound the love of many will turn cold.” This lawlessness, anomia, will have consequences. When evil is allowed to flourish it is only those who stand for what is good who will endure. It is the Lord’s loving loyalty that will make them stand.31 views -
Feast of Tabernacles 2024 - Christian Leadership — Imitating Christ
JJudeoChristianIt is easy to quickly read a bible passage and miss the deeper meaning. The apostle Paul said to the Corinthians, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ.” But, there is so much more to the story. Paul’s letters urge Christians to be reflective learners, examining themselves. Asking, “Does my life emulate the life of a true disciple.” God judges not only our behaviour – whether we are following Jesus’ pattern of living – but our motivation. This is because God has called his disciples to be faithful stewards. Imitating Christ, they will observe that pattern of right living given by the Father, in both action and thought. So are we imitating Christ and preparing to serve with him as we should?34 views -
Feast of Tabernacles 2024 — The Messiah and His Kingdom
JJudeoChristianThe Messiah and the Kingdom As the “latter days” prophesied in scripture draw ever closer, we need to consider the relevance of the Feast of Tabernacles. On this first day of the festival we look forward to a new age ushered in by the coming of the Messiah. But what is the nature of our Messiah? Many religions teach the concept of a Messiah, a deliverer. But few understand the nature of the Messiah who is revealed in the Judeo-Christian scriptures.211 views -
Labouring in the Gospel - Sorting Truth from Error
JJudeoChristianSorting Truth from Error In a world of false messaging, and secular “gospels” that can’t help but produce dystopian outcomes, what does “labouring in the gospel” mean? Christians are called to “labour” in order to fight for godly values — Judeo-Christian values. Daniel prophesied of a world where the godless would rule. False teaching would predominate. Yet, at the same time, the spiritually attuned would need to be strong. They would need to take action to continue to teach the truth. In a time of moral relativism, half-truths, and outright deceptions, it requires persistence to continue to teach those who are still willing to listen to the gospel of truth.36 views 1 comment -
Prepared to Give an Answer
JJudeoChristianBe Careful What You Say Christ, the Lord of our lives, wants us to be prepared to give an answer to others. The Lord is our shelter and sanctuary. When men ask us questions about our faith, we are to respond as if we were in God’s presence. For, we will have to give account to the Lord for our words. We are his ambassadors. The answer we give is to be an “apologia” — a well reasoned-argument with compelling proof. The Lord is asking us to be prepared to give a logical defence. But there is more to it than an intellectual response. There are several black screens in this video due to technical issues but they resolve after a few seconds wait. Thank you for your patience.30 views -
The Father's Great Plan
JJudeoChristianGod’s Mysterious Plan Would it surprise you to know that God the Father’s great plan is a mystery to a heavenly audience? Both Paul and Peter wrote to encourage God’s people to remain strong, knowing that they were in a struggle with spiritual forces. And there were angelic onlookers! The Father’s plan is being worked out in the lives of those he has called to walk with him. And they are to be his witnesses, not only to people, but to angelic beings, too. We who are called into God’s service are stewards of God’s mystery, his plan. And we must understand God’s purpose and our role in it.13 views -
Are You Walking With God?
Sola Scriptura MessagesThe bible teaches an amazing truth that the Creator, The Word, became a man and in so doing has made it possible for his followers to have a hope of eternal life with him. Yet there are many in the world of religion that deny this basic teaching of scripture and instead , like the Pharisees of Jesus day, they have set up their own religious standards. God on the other had has told us that he is looking for justice, loving kindness, and humility in walking with him. So what does it mean to"'walk with God?" How do we walk with anyone? The basics should be obvious. We must agree to walk to together, we must have the same destination in mind, and we must walk at the same pace being considerate of each other. But beyond these rudimentary principles God gives us what he expects of those who walk with him. Consider John's message about Jesus walking on the road to Emmaus, or Paul's admonitions to walk worthy of our calling, or Jude's warning to avoid walking like Cain, Balaam or Korah. Remember Jesus' admonition to Peter and examine ourselves to determine whether we are truly walking with God as we ought. In the Image and Likeness of God
Sola Scriptura MessagesWhy does God care about humanity? The answer to this question is found in part in the book of Genesis. But this is only the beginning of the story. Here God declared, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness and let him have dominion over the earth." The Psalmist adds to our understanding of God's purpose in that he created human beings with a glory that was a little lower than 'elohim' (God). Jesus in answering the religious leaders of his day, proclaimed that he was a son of God, and yet this should not have astounded them as it did. For Jesus made the same kind of bold declaration as the Psalmist in calling men 'elohim' or sons of God. John, James and Paul all added insights regarding Christ's being the image of the Father and the firstborn son of God. But the Father has a plan to bring many more sons and daughters - made in his image - into his family. Knowing this basic truth these biblical writers offer us wisdom as to how we should live our lives now in preparation for this glorious future. Attached to God — The Remedy for Separation
Sola Scriptura MessagesAre we 'attached' to God and what does this mean in daily life? Gordon Neufeld, an inspiring speaker has proposed a developmental model for human growth based on the power of attachment of children to nurturing parents. This model is also useful in considering our spiritual parent, our Father, and our relationship to him as his children. Just as children attach to parents and family life, so God's children are in a deep and abiding, lifelong relationship with him. We need to be close to God, imitating his actions, loyal to his values, feeling loved and appreciated, and knowing that God understands our deepest yearning. And yet. there are times when we misstep, derail, and fall short of God's expectations for us. What then? Is God only there for us when we please him? Or does God provide a remedy to bridge those things that separate us from God? Consider this powerful hope that we have in God's grace and mercy, so we can continue to walk with him even after we have stumbled. And then consider the implications for family life and mending relationships between parents and children. http://www.cogwebcast.com https://rumble.com/c/c-1238254 https://www.minds.com/JudeoChristian/ https://odysee.com/@JudeoChristian:59dafee676c47dae75ce1f9db7bc0c7bc10e5883 https://www.youtube.com/user/cogwebcast https://www.facebook.com/pg/cogwebcast/posts/177 views
