BBB Title I Subtitle E - Crop Insurance

Section 10501 of the Big Beautiful Bill changes the definition of a "Beginning Farmer and Rancher" to be someone who has not farmed or ranched for at least ten years. New farmers and ranchers will get increased Crop Insurance payouts on a decreasing sliding scale for the first four years of farming or ranching.
