AOC Warns Trump Supporters, Corporations: ‘There Will Be a Day After’ a Trump Presidency
Grabienreporter: “And Disney thinks [inaudible] caucus was able to get the airline industry to stop selling Passenger data to ICE. Did you hear about this?” Ocasio-Cortez: “I just casually was informed about it. I know that the caucus was really working on that, though.” reporter: “Yeah. Any reaction to their decision, and what — “ Ocasio-Cortez:” Well, I think it’s — “ reporter: “What’s the message for corporate America?” Ocasio-Cortez: “It’s tremendously important and impactful and, you know, as I’ve said before, there’s been a day before Donald Trump’s presidency and there will be a day after. And in that day after, I think people will see so many of the decisions that individuals made and organizations made — and we want to make sure that they comport with the values of everyday Americans.”25 views -
Bill Maher runs through a list of 5 Democrats who didn’t get the memo that they need to go away.
Question EverythingBill Maher runs through a list of 5 Democrats who didn’t get the memo that they need to go away. 1.) Joe Biden – “Number one” on Maher’s list. 2.) Eleanor Holmes Norton – 88, cognitive decline, recently scammed out of $4,000. 3.) Steny Hoyer – 86. 4.) Maxine Waters – 87. 5.) James Clyburn – 85. And for fun, Maher even threw in Republican Chuck Grassley, joking, “We don’t count that high.” Grassley is 92. Maher raved about how George Washington “could have been king,” but chose to step down anyway. Meanwhile, we’re watching politicians who are ready for the nursing home act like they’ve got ten more years left in Congress. https://x.com/VigilantFox/status/1989543847974535609?s=20462 views 1 comment -
Rep. Khanna: Schumer Has Lost Touch with Democrats
GrabienMACCALLUM: “So, Chuck Schumer’s no-good week on Capitol Hill getting worse. He’s probably really happy that it’s Friday. At least 17 House Democrats now say that his failure to keep the party in line, that’s one of the biggest jobs, really, of the Senate Minority Leader, they say he blew it and that he must go as Senate Minority Leader. And these calls are coming from media and pundits and all of these people who are his colleagues on the Hill. There’s also a growing coalition that backs this individual, progressive Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, to launch a primary challenge against Schumer.” [Clip starts] Crockett: “I think New York will have to decide, if Alex does decide to run, who is built for this moment. And I really want to urge all Americans that were disappointed with the 8 Senate Democrats to not get disappointed or disenchanted with the party as a whole. But when you go out, don’t just vote for a Democrat, vote for a Democrat that is ready for the fight that we’re in at this moment.” [Clip ends] MACCALLUM: “California Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna among the first to call Schumer no longer effective, and he joins me now. Congressman, it’s good to see you. Thank you very much for coming by. So what goes through your mind as you look at those 17 members on the Hill who are calling for him to step down? And you listen to Jasmine Crockett suggesting that maybe AOC should be the replacement.” KHANNA: “Well, Martha, as you know, I was the first to call for him to step down. It’s always hard to speak out against your own party. I’ve worked with Senator Schumer on the CHIPS Act. I appreciated his role on the Inflation Reduction Act, but he just is out of touch with the base. We did not get the extension of the tax credits on the Affordable Care Act. You know, he supported the war in Iraq and he’s out of touch on some of the issues of foreign policy. So it’s time for a new dynamic leadership. Also, you know, when your football team loses, you have a new coach, if they keep losing. It’s just time to have fresh faces, bold faces, who are going to lead us forward.” MACCALLUM: “Yeah. I mean, just look at the Giants. So they’re going to get a new coach. Here’s Chris Murphy, and this is his take. Watch this. Senator Murphy.” [Clip starts] Kennedy: “Senator Schumer gambled and he lost. And he’s kind of walking around now looking like he — looking like a guy who just lost his luggage. The socialist wing of the party is controlled by Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez. I’ve never heard anybody describe her as a policymaker. My experience with her is, if you scratch the surface, you just get more surface.” MURPHY: “I think his job is really, really hard. He obviously did not want this outcome. He wanted the caucus to stay together. He was not successful in that endeavor. This is the fourth major moment this year where a handful of Democrats have crossed over and voted with Donald Trump. I don’t think that that’s the way that you save a democracy. And, yes, that means we need more effective leadership.” [Clip ends] MACCALLUM: “All right, so obviously that was Senator Kennedy at the top and then Senator Murphy. But what do you think about what Murphy says there? He’s saying, you know, that the big error was that people crossed over and made a deal. But ultimately, that’s what has to happen in, you know, a shutdown that is the longest shutdown in history. He’s, you know, he’s recognizing that Schumer was in a very tough spot.” KHANNA: “Well, he was in a tough spot and of course we needed to have a deal and have a compromise. I wanted to have an extension for the tax credit for the Affordable Care Act be permanent, like the tax breaks to the billionaires. But I was working with Michael Lawler, Sam Liccardo, a Democrat, was working with Kevin Kiley to say, well, maybe we could have a year extension, maybe a two-year extension. Let’s negotiate about who would be covered. But we got nothing. And you know what the result of that is? There’s a taxi driver in Arizona who has cancer, whose premium is going to go up from $44 a month to $2,600 a month. That to me is unacceptable and we just did not deliver for people.”31 views -

AOC Claims Trump Voters Are Pulling Her Aside and Saying They Want to Join ‘Democratic Socialism’
GrabienOcasio-Cortez: “I want to say this right now. I fully welcome Trump voters into our coalition. And I know that sounds crazy to some people, but just hear me out. I cannot tell you — it just happened to me like two weeks ago — I can’t tell you how many times someone has pulled me aside and said either, I was once a big Trump voter and a Trump supporter and I watched Fox News every day, but then I started to kind of expand my world and where I got information. And now I’ve learned, and now I’ve changed and I’m with you and I learned from you, or people who meet me who are, who are really big Republicans now, and they are shocked when they meet me because they’re like, you are nothing like I was told you are. And you start to see the cogs turning that maybe everything that they had been told from this one channel or this one ecosystem isn’t the whole truth. And it is enough to spark a curiosity that makes people want to go down a longer journey of learning.”15 views 1 comment
