Homemade Target Pistol: 22 Long Rifle
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this target pistol about four years ago. This single shot bolt-action pistol is chambered in 22 Long Rifle (22 LR). Initially I had a 4x scope on it, and later a red-dot scope. I finally settled on some Remington 700 iron peep sights. The barrel is a green mountain blank (1:16 twist) match barrel that is approximately 4.5 inches long. The pistol grips are polyurethane coated Walnut. The pistol grip portion is made from Aluminum while the receiver and upper components are made from steel. The pistol has two forward locking lugs and is cock on open. The gun uses a simple trigger mechanism inside homemade trigger housing. The lower aluminum portion is coated with powder coat and the upper steel section has been cold blued. This has been an accurate pistol, with good 50 yard. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Thanks, be safe and God bless.453 views -
35 Remington: Homemade Medium Game Rifle
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this gun about three years ago. This single shot bolt-action rifle is chambered in 35 Remington and was designed and built specifically as a medium game hunting rifle. I had read about and heard about the 35 Remington round all my life and I had heard it was an excellent brush gun for deer and pigs. The stock has a boiled linseed finish on an ebonized Walnut stock. I wanted a black on black look for hunting purposes. The stock has a grind to fit Pachmayr buttpad and uses modified Remington 700 iron sights. The stock has a lower comb for iron sight shooting. The barrel is 21" long and was made from a Shilen barrel blank (1:14 twist). It has two forward locking lugs, an extractor and uses a unique trigger mechanism inside a homemade trigger housing. The outside coating is 44/40 cold gun blue. I made a paracord sling to go with this gun. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Homemade Bespoke 22 Rifle
GarageGuy3006This is the newest firearm that I’ve added to my collection. This is a custom single shot, cock on open 22 rifle. The barrel has a 1:16 twist and is using a Green Mountain barrel blank. The barrel is 16.25” long and is octagon shaped. This gun has bespoke iron sights, one of a kind sling mounts and a custom paracord sling. The stock is based off of a Mauser 98, but has been personalized to my specifications. The stock is made from American Walnut and uses a boiled linseed finish with red dye added. The butt plate, end cap and pistol grip cap are all brass. The gun shots 22LR and 22 short and has proven very accurate with the correct ammunition. I took it to the local range and shot several different types of 22 ammo through it. I show you how to field strip the gun down for cleaning. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. Be safe and God bless.478 views 2 comments -

Homemade 308: 3-Lug
GarageGuy3006This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this rifle about ten years ago. This single shot bolt-action rifle is chambered in 308 Winchester. Initially I wanted a 308 for accuracy testing, and it originally had a Remington Model 700 308 Barrel. I later replaced with barrel with the Shilen (1:10 twist) match barrel that is approximately 16.5 inches long. The stock has a polyurethane finish on a Kentucky Coffee Tree stock. The stock is beginning to crack so I would not suggest this wood for gun stocks that will take any recoil. The stock has a grind to fit Pachmayr buttpad and is fitted with a 9x Leupold Scope. The stock utilizes an AK pistol grip. The rifle has three forward locking lugs and a unique extractor. With the 3 lugs the receiver is longer than normal. The gun uses a simple trigger mechanism inside homemade trigger housing. The outside coating is alumahyde and the internal metal is all left in the white. This has been a very accurate gun, with some 100 yard groups at ½ MOA. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Thanks, be safe and God bless.578 views 3 comments -
