Nazareth, perhaps the greatest band in the history of Rock & Roll, a hard rock band from Dunfermline, Scotland, formed in 1968 by Dan McCafferty, Pete Agnew, Manny Charlton, and Darrell Sweet, forged a raw, blues-drenched sound across 24 studio albums from Nazareth (1971) to Tattooed on My Brain (2018). Dan McCafferty’s voice—sweet and tender one moment, full-on high-piercing gravel the next—anchors every era, from the snarling Hair of the Dog (1975) to the melodic The Fool Circle (1981), the sleek 2XS (1982), and the late-career fire of Rock ’n’ Roll Telephone (2014).
This playlist of over 20 Nazareth albums throws you into their full journey, with tracks that fuel nights of rocking or unwinding. #Nazareth #LiveMusic #ClassicRock

Nazareth: Exercises (Full Album)
Nazareth AlbumsExercises is the second studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in 1972. Although their music is most accurately described as "blues-tinged hard rock" (CD liner notes), this record is quite far from the band's more standard fare, featuring, quite surprisingly, a number of acoustic arrangements, several songs with orchestral strings, and traditional Scottish airs. Indeed, the album's "1692 (Glen Coe Massacre)" is about a real incident in Scottish history, namely, the massacre of Glencoe. The album is also significant for its Roy Thomas Baker production—only his third project, and well before his breakthrough works with Queen in the mid-seventies—and its oddly 'new wave' cover-art (designed by CCS Associates). An early version of the Razamanaz song, "Woke Up This Morning", also makes an appearance on Side 1. There were no cover versions on the album: it wouldn't be until their 10th studio album, No Mean City, that there was another album totally written by the band members. Track List: 1. I Will Not Be Led 2. Cat's Eye, Apple Pie 3. In My Time 4. Woke Up This Morning 5. Called Her Name 6. Fool About You 7. Love Now You're Gone 8. Madelaine 9. Sad Song 10. 1692 (Glencoe Massacre) 11. If You See My Baby (B-side) 12. Woke Up This Morning (Alt. Take) 13. Love Now You're Gone (Alt. Take) - *** Fair Use Disclaimer - I do not own the rights to this video or music. Nazareth: Hair Of The Dog (Full Album)
Nazareth AlbumsHair of the Dog is the sixth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released on 3 April 1975. The album was recorded at Escape Studios, Kent, with additional recording and mixing at AIR Studios, London, and is the group’s best known and highest selling release, with over two million copies sold worldwide. After three albums with Deep Purple's Roger Glover producing, Manny Charlton stepped into that position, one he filled for several subsequent albums. Background Hair of The Dog was Nazareth's first big hit album (aside from the minor success of Razamanaz), including classics such as the title track, a version of The Everly Brothers' "Love Hurts" (on the US version, but not the Canadian/European, it replaced the original "Guilty"), "Beggars Day" and "Please Don't Judas Me". According to Nazareth frontman Dan McCafferty, the track on Hair of the Dog in which a dishonest young woman finally meets her match provided the original album title with its recognizable chorus of “now you’re messing with a… a son of a bitch!” (an “heir of the dog”). Nazareth’s record label wasn’t about to let them name the project Son of a Bitch. Thus, Hair of the Dog was selected as a compromise, putting the finishing touches on a career-defining release. The album title is often considered to be a shortened form of the phrase describing a folk hangover cure, “the hair of the dog that bit you”. The album was first reissued on CD in the USA in 1984; the disc was manufactured in Japan with the inserts printed in Japan. There are also remastered editions released since 1997 with different sets of bonus tracks. The name of the creature on the album cover is unknown. The album cover art was designed by David Fairbrother-Roe. Track listing 01. Hair Of The Dog 02. Miss Misery 03 Love Hurts (Everly Brothers Cover) 04. Changin' Times 05. Beggars Day (Crazy Horse cover) 06. Rose In The Heather 07. Whiskey Drinkin' Woman 08. Please Don't Judas Me 09. Nazareth: Close Enough For Rock 'N' Roll (Full Album)
Nazareth AlbumsClose Enough for Rock 'n' Roll is the seventh studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in 1976. The lead track, "Telegram", describes the band's experience while touring of hangovers, travel by aeroplane and limousine, customs, FM radio, girls, breakfast, press reception, soundcheck and finally the show over a guitar riff that bursts into a short version of the Byrds hit before returning to the riff and the story. It includes the album title in the lyrics. This references a saying among guitar players: "It doesn't matter if your guitar isn't fully in tune, as long as it's 'close enough for rock 'n' roll.'" "Telegram" (parts 1–3 only) was Nazareth's concert opener for many years, including the 1981 shows recorded for the Snaz album. Track Listing: 01. Telegram -Part 1: On Your Way -Part 2: So You Wanna Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star -Part 3: Sound Check -Part 4: Here We Are Again 02. Vicki 03. Homesick Again 04. Vancouver Shakedown 05. The original version was rejected by the label and these versions were the bonus tracks on the Salvo CD. Nazareth: The Fool Circle (Full Album with Bonus Tracks)
Nazareth AlbumsThe Fool Circle is the twelfth studio album by Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in February 1981. "Cocaine" was a live cover of the song written by J. J. Cale and recorded in 1977 by Eric Clapton. There are remastered editions of the album with different sets of bonus tracks. Because in 1997 Castle Communications was unwilling to produce a 2-CD set of the double live album "'Snaz", four tracks were removed so that a remastered version could be released on a single CD. Rob Corich, who was doing the remastering, included these songs here as bonus tracks to rectify this. The Fool Circle is notable for a reggae sound on many of the songs. In an interview bassist Pete Agnew commented: "'Fool Circle' was the nearest we came to making a concept album, trying to inject a bit of humor into a pretty heavy subject. I think the fact that we recorded it on the island of Montserrat might account for a teeny bit of reggae poking its way through." Track Listing: 01. Dressed To Kill 02. Another Year 03. Moonlight Eyes 04. Pop The Silo 05. Let Me Be Your Leader 06. We Are The People 07. Every Young Man's Dream 08. Little Part Of You 09. Cocaine (J.J. Cale Cover - Live) 10. Victoria 11. Nazareth: 'Snaz (Full Album)
Nazareth AlbumsIT'SNAZ is a double live album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in September 1981. The full album title is It's Naz but the artwork spread the title, in block-capitals, fully over the outside of the gatefold-sleeve: when not opened only 'S NAZ is visible on the front. The back of the original album cover includes the letters "I" and "T" causing many to misinterpret the title of the album as "'Snaz" which is incorrect. That no space was left between the 'S' and 'NAZ' seems deliberate, as contemporary adverts for the album in the music press write it as IT'SNAZ. The band's official website gives the title as It's Naz. The album was recorded at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, Canada, in May 1981 during the band's 1981 North American tour. The band recorded several of the dates on the tour but felt this one show was fine in its entirety. The album was mixed at The Manor, Oxfordshire. The original LP featured two bonus studio tracks, "Juicy Lucy" and a re-recording of "Morning Dew". These were the first studio recordings of the new 6-piece line-up. In Germany, the LP originally came with a free bonus 1-sided 7", a remix of "Morning Dew" with the vocals sung in German, and thus titled "Morgentau". This was never issued separately, although it is sometimes (incorrectly) listed as a promo single. Track Listing: 01. Telegram: On Your Way/ So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star/ Sound 02. Razamanaz 03. I Want To (Do Everything For You) (Joe Tex cover) 04. This Flight Tonight (Joni Mitchell cover) 05. Beggars Day (Nils Lofgren cover) 06. Every Young Man's Dream 07.
