KARNAK You've Never Seen Before | Egypt History Tour
Ancient Sites GirlKarnak - the largest ancient temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a destination for tourists, who want to explore ancient civilizations, see for themselves mysterious ruins, and, perhaps, unravel ancient mysteries. There are, however, still some places you’ve never seen or heard about before, the real hidden treasures. The temple of Ptah or the Chapel of Osiris-Hekadjet are, in a way, hidden on the northern side of this humongous temple complex. The Open-air Museum displaying reconstructed gems of ancient Egyptian architecture such as: the famous Alabaster Barque Shrine of Amenhotep I, the Red Chapel of Hatshepsut, and the White Chapel of Senusret/Sesostris I is also often skipped over due to lack of time during the organized trips. Egyptian Tombs Closed To Visitors! Deir el-Medina Tour
Ancient Sites GirlThe first full documentary on Rumble about the tomb of Nakhtamon/Nakhtamun TT335 located in the village of Deir el-Medina. Although closed for tourists, I was able to film inside the tomb. It was truly an exciting experience! It is one of the best preserved of hundreds of burials at the site. In this episode we will also explore a few other places, which aren’t included in a typical itinerary to Deir el-Medina. Inside The Best-Preserved Egyptian Temple! ESNA
Ancient Sites GirlAre you ready for the spectacle of colors? Let’s go to the city of Esna to explore one of the last ancient Egyptian temples ever built and the last one decorated with hieroglyphs! Located around 60 km south of Luxor, the existing, ancient structure is currently situated in an enormous pit, almost 10 meters below the current city level. Its most known feature is the columns, which not only display beautiful and one-of-a-kind capitals, but are almost entirely covered, not with the offering scenes, but with religious texts. Recently Opened Egyptian Tombs. What's inside?
Ancient Sites GirlLet’s explore the least known tombs of the nobles in Luxor. You’ve probably never heard of them as some have just recently been discovered! Their owners - high officials of the New Kingdom period (16th to 11th centuries BC) - decorated their eternal dwellings in the most spectacular way. Inside Egypt's Most Magnificent Tomb! SETI I (Valley of the Kings)
Ancient Sites GirlLet’s get inside the deepest and the longest tomb in the Valley of the Kings! Although filming there is allowed only with a special permission, I managed to take my camera inside and now can show you not only the main section of the tomb, but also parts normally closed for the visitors. Seti I, the second pharaoh of the 19th dynasty, also known as Seti the Great designed for himself one of the most spectacular burial structures ever made, known today as KV17. It is the first tomb with a complete set of religious texts including the Litany of Ra, the Book of the Dead, the Imydwat, Opening the mouth ritual, the Book of Gates, the Book of the Heavenly Cow, and astronomical scenes. Seti’s tomb is also the most completely decorated with exceptional, painted raised reliefs and a wonderful burial chamber known as “the House of Gold”. Discovered by Belzoni, later restored and examined by Howard Carter, the tomb had been initially found intact, according to Giovanni Battista Belzoni upon opening the tomb, ancient paint brushes were still lying under the reliefs! Unfortunately, the 19th century was a little bit like the Wild West archeological-wise so the tomb didn’t avoid damages. Aaand did you know about the mysterious tunnel recently excavated by Doctor Zahi Hawass? Let’s go! Explored in February 2023.
