In this video we look at how Paul addressed the Corinthians and see in it a model of his missionary journeys in Acts. Paul was not like many of the modern-day preachers that use all the trimmings and visual supports to attract people to the gospel. this method ostensibly shares the truth but end up obscuring it and weakens the message. Paul trusted the power of the gospel (Rom. 1:16-17) to save. Today's preachers often practice emotional appeals and other seductions but end up with questionable spiritual results. The Bible is abundantly clear that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God, the promised deliverer that would save mankind from the wages of sin. Not only is this a fact, but His resurrection from the dead a fact of history also. I can be difficult to begin conversations to share Christ. This is especially the case when we have to work hard to get to the Bible. But asking some simple questions can generate a conversation and that is when the PATHS acronym can be of great help, particularly the "P" (Predictive Prophecy). The PATHS method of applying apologetic answers to unbelievers is really a great way to give reasons for faith and provide what is needed for believing in Jesus.
